I finished off the Sons of Sek squad today, good feeling when you finish a unit
I modeled them as a regular lasgun unit to help boost the numbers and shake it up a little.

looking good, but perhaps find yourself some guitar wire? the sek masks are closer to rebreathers, it'd also add a nice little touch to them. overall though, i like the copper oxidization thing going on, pretty cool.

That squad is looking good!

I am now accepting commissions for any hobby project! I've been in the hobby since '92. Specializing in traditional brush methods, creating a gritty dark aesthetic. From single character models to entire armies. From individual terrain pieces to entire table tops. From tabletop level to masterclass level painting. From purchasing and assembly to leveling up your assembled armies paint job. If it has to do with the hobby I can do it! Hit me up and let's chat about your project!

I can do better than that Skall,I have Dragonforge cable.
White metal guitar wire that is extreamly bendable and poseable.
Check out the power cables
http://www.dragonforge.com/Painting%20service/for%20sale/sculpting_supplies.htm
I have also recently seen molds where you press them yourself out of g/s,
I like to think with Chaos its evil influences all around it even to the point where metal tarnishes and rusts in its presense.
Great idea BTW

Here is a Chimera transport nearly finished.
I was going to to a step by step further but things started moving fast, batteries died so it did'nt really materialize the way I wanted.
But this tank did,I did'nt go crazy like some of my other stuff with tons of gear, just an extra track on a bracket made by cutting the tab off a track link.
Speaking of which the new kits tracks fit like a dream but no extra kink anymore, that sucks.
I also used .020 plastic rod along the edges of the fron then softened with with Tenax Liquid Plasic Glue.
Once soft I stippled with a brass rod cut to an angle to simulate rough welds.
I also coated and stippled the turret to give it a roughcast texture
I used ForgeWorld Khorne and Renegade brass etch to finish it off

I have also almost finshed a few more Beastmen penal legionaires

40k definitely needs more Beastmen

Lovely work!

Run a whole lot of wfrp and other rpg's, play The Woods and Kill Team, gather and look mournfully at imperial guard knowing I'll never finish enough to use them on the tabletop

Very nice. Lovely to look at. Might I ask what is going on with the Grenadier's guns? Some of the barrels appear to be pointing up at a 90 degree angle.

Once I finish off the beastmen it will be another 10 man squad.(It takes alot of rifles to get an honest platoon going)

i always pictured the masks on the Sons as horizontal. they arent really rebreathers either- they are described as elaborate chin-straps holding their helmets in place (whch makes sense, since if you try it your thumbs kind of reach far enough to be used as straps). they are made of real human flesh as well, a glossy brown human leather.

You are 110% correct on the mask, they are described as human hand chin-straps,I remember one of the Ghosts noticed this themselves,I just took artistic licence there, the metal seems to work better.

I do not cast my the symbols they are FW Khorne and Renegade brass etch,I recommend them highly.

This is a nice multi-use model I made up,i it could either be a priest or medic for command squad.
The idea is a dirty white robe that will be splattered with blood both old and fresh.
I forgot how much a pain white robe are until I busted out the oil paints.
It behaves differently than acryilic you can manipulate it more.
The dryback is drying time, this model is on hold now for about 48 hours

First, I want to selfishly say that I am disturbed by the number of my friends that are posting on this AMAZING blog that didn't bother to drop me a line and say "Hey Skalk, check out the awesome Traitor Guard thread Eisenhorn is doing!"

Ok. Enough about me. I absolutely love Traitor / Cult projects and I am really enjoying this one so far. Your conversions are solid, the color scheme is excellent, and of all the "Guard gone bad" threads I've seen, this is the first one that I can remember where they dedicated themselves to the Blood God.

Looking forward to seeing more, and SUBBED!

Worked on the Banner and metallics a bit.
These I was careful not to get any oil paint on so I could work on them in the meantime.
Better Pics this time around too.

I finished the Penal Legion Squad of Beastmen.
I like using the Enforcers as the evil version of commissars and penal custodians
Like I said earlier this was a mix of Gors and Catachans.
I had to buy a second box to get enough minotaur horns, now I am selling a box of straight horned Gors on E-bay.

I came across this scratchbuild of an automated sentry gun.Keeping with 40ks no robots rule the cpu is a servo-skull.

I came across this great old technicains briefcase that I now use to hold all my brushes and hobby gear
