Wow, apologies for being extremely ignorant.
Also:
Does anyone know how big the Void Dragon could be?

Being a C'tan he could probably be as big or small as he wanted to be.

Near the bottom of that page, it says when feeding it looks like a dark cloud. So not necessarily a dragon all the time.

Wrong,
If the Void Dragon didn't look like a Dragon then the vision that one person had of the Emperor beating the Dragon wouldn't have had him beating a Dragon. It would have been him triumphing over a Daemon or other monster.
The Void Dragon is clearly evoking what the word "dragon" means. A large scaly beast, most commenly breathing fire and having wings.
The story eventually became the story of St George and the Dragon. The Void Dragon is clearly meant to look something like a Dragon.
Except the Void Dragon, assuming it is one and the same with the Dragon, is described as being a "cloud of dark light" in the myth, and not a great serpent... soo... no. As for the Emperor fighting a 'large scaly beast', ever hear of allegory? Do not take things at face value, especially when they refer to events that happen in the distant past and have become shrouded in myth and legend.

its a cloud of dark light when its feeding.
And the vision was had by a psyker after the fact and she was pretty much told what she was seeing. She saw a Dragon. People know what dragons look like, ergo it must have had some major dragon like qualities for her to call it that.

Going back a page, just a quick sketch that i did in five minutes, unfortunately you can see easily that optimus got more effort than the dragon as i attempted to hurry it up. Shame, cuz the dragon deserves more effort
Hope you like

Is the image on your computer as an Image?
if it is then edit your post or post a new post.
then click the attachments button. Then click Browse. Go to my documents or my pictures or where ever the picture is and double click it. It should then go back to the post and display the filename in the area for it.
then submit the post. it should display.
This also works best with jpg files. any other type is a shot in the dark as for it working.
Edit: there we go.
hmmm, looks good. The Void Dragon looks kinda smug. I like it.

Well, this was a funny thread
Anyways, on topic...
I'd think the Void Dragon would keep a human sized body, with draconic features... Due to practical reasons. I mean, we don't see dem other C'tan running around sized like spaceships even though I get the feeling they totally could if they wanted to. So no mega-enormous Void Dragon... Unless he feels like it.
That is, unless their shapeshifting abilities have been retconned.

Suddenly with an "erp CURSE YOOOOOUUUUU WWWWAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRDDD!" it disappears in a puff of retcon. Brian, bemused, takes a sip of his coffee.

I would think the dragon would be stuck in his ship form if the Emp trapped him on mars, he's not letting it do anything without his say so.

I always thought the necrodermis was sort of like a ferrofluid allowing the C'tan to really be whatever it wants. I think the last mention I saw of the Dragon it was a cavern or trapped in one at the base of a ravine.

What does a SHAPE SHIFTING C'tan look like. . . . . .uh, whatever he/she/it feels like. in the case of the Void Dragon, probably a Dragon, a Black metallic Dragon, most of the time.

Well the Dragon is definately a C'tan, we know that much. Considering he is locked inside a necrodermis he has probably taken a shape that best delivers the message that he wants to send to the mortal beings of the universe. Which could be anything.
