Krieg never use Ogryns, the closest things would be renegade Ogryns.

Cadians are modern models, unless you mean Catachans.

Not the standard infantry squad. They're early 3rd edition and none too pretty. The command and gun team sets are great though.

I don't understand that. Catachan battleforces come with nicely done plastic models for infantry squads.

The Catachan battleforce comes with the modern command squad and gun teams, which are great. They also come with the Catachan infantry squad which is from the late 90s, has giant arms, poses that don't always quite work, and is disproportionate to every other infantry model. Take your command squad dudes and put them next to your infantry squad ones - you'll see the infantry squad Catachans have less detail, bigger arms, bigger heads, and weirder poses.

RENEGADE IG, seriously, I want to see some IG that had been actively serving chaos. I know FW has a limited selection, but its very narrow and doesn't give a large number of options.

Other than that, I'd Like to see some plastic Stormtrooper/kaskrin squads, I really like the models just Find it very hard to work with GW metal.

I definitely like the idea of a renegade I Guard regiment being done up. Might break the monotony of IGuard armies.

I'd say the Catachans need to be redone, but they've had more or less the same ugly, bloated models since like 1995, lol. It isn't like GW is suddenly going to redo them to look less cartoonish, so better to make new models. If they issue new plastics, I'd prefer it to be one of the more "serious business" regiments. I doubt they will redo the Steel Legion as the DKoK more or less supplanted them as the "trench coats and gas masks" guys.

Marneus Calgar is referred to as "one of the Imperium's greatest tacticians" and he treats the Codex like it's the War Bible. If the Codex is garbage, then how bad is everyone else?

I actually like them, in a quirky way. I like lots of old models though, and even though newer sculpts are significantly better, they have their charm. I've got plenty in my IG army.

I'm a fan of them. I bought round shields, spartan heads, spears and made green stuff cloaks to make all my veterans Leonidans. They look kinda bad ass.

Yes Cadians are the stereotypical IG army, BUT they look good and releasing models of a new army would help GW sales more than rereleasing Cadians. Soo... Steel Legion or

They have basic guardsman, which would work for an equivalent of Veterans, Penal Legion etc as well as regular guard, they have Ogryns, missionaries, psykers, heavy weapons teams (Cut out the stubber and install any HW or just convert the guys on the Cadian HW Platform), etc. With the stuff here all you would need to do is convert your Vehicles, which can be done mostly with painting and very basic putty work. Commisars and named characters are obviously gonna take some creativity or extra special paint scheme from one of the Command squad guys. No it isn't easy, but if it was easy it would be particularly awesome when you pull it out!

Oh and they don't have anything for Ratlings or Riders.

I think they should do steel legion because they have so few models (16 if I remember correctly) and I play steel legion.

The meaning of victory is not merely to defeat your enemy but destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavors, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory.

They are the only army I seriously played and at the moment a fire time is on my workbench waiting for the final stages of a diorama I'm working on.

Having said that I would like to see the Tanith represented, I mean besides the Valahlians the Commisar Cain fights with, the Tanith are the only other IG regiment that are the subjects of a long running series of books. And I really want to see what Banda and Criid look like in plastic.

I like the Catachan models, even though the older metal ones seems to be better than the steroid induced current plastic ones. I mainly use the Catachan models as my veteran units, giving them a distinct look against the foot blob cadians

DKoK, doubt that forge world would let that cash cow be massed produced. I just think it is time for the Talarans and Valhallans to go.
