Guys, incase it hasn't being obvious yet, Sisters does not have a Battle Force,
which was why i was confused and responded with that.

Then someone decided to report me and got me banned.

Not fair guys not fair at all.... Though its clear who did the reporting in this thread -_-

You got banned for just replying with "maow"? This Dakka place must be serious business...

Back OT: I like the IG battleforces because they are a great starting point for a new player. Tau have a good battleforce as well.

The chaos space marines box is pretty good, with some heavy converting it can hit 1000pts

For saying "maow" because Sisters of battles dont have a Battle Force ever ever not now not before

Yes got banned.

Not quite.

You received a short suspension as, despite requests, you persist in posting pointless, banal and generally unhelpful single word posts, like the one you've helpfully highlighted. If you don't do this then this won't happen.

I think thats the joke

Especially because BF only have plastic models, guess what army doesnt have any plastic?

Just wanted to confirm that that was indeed the joke I was making.

Grey Knights tie with it though, in terms of quality, model count. The savings you get by getting it are awesome, though. If you get the GK one, you're basically getting everything in it for free.

Edit: Another contender for worst in quality but best in savings is the Necron one. It's surprising how much you get despite the army being new, and for such a low price!

Stupid thing to ask probably...

When you get the Battleforce does it include all the additional sprues you would get in the retail box?

IE:

Ork Battleforce

20 Ork Boyz
1 Ork Trukk
3 Ork Bikes

Do you get the Option for 20 Shootas or 20 Sluggas? Do you get the option for 2x Nobz? (assuming its 2x 10 Ork Boyz set)
Do you get the additional "add-ons" for the Ork Trukk? Boarding Plank etc...
Do you get the option to kit out the bikes differently? such as Ork Nob Biker...?

We need MOAR Dakka!

It's not a terrible question, really.

But the answer is yes, you get the same stuff you'd get in a normal kit. ^_^

So the Ork Boyz would come with the option for Shoota or Slugga/Choppa, with enough parts for all. You'd also get both "upgrade" frames for the Boyz, including optional rokkits, big shootas, and enough parts for 2 Nobz - between the 20 Boyz, of course. The Warbikers would come with parts for a Nob biker.

It's all the same. If a frame is missing that would be in the normal kit, then request a replacement frame from the place where you got it - GW stores are VERY good about stuff like this, or at least my local one is. It's part of why I shop there, instead of the much closer FLGS.

Ork Battleforce is pretty good.

Dark Eldar one is rather fantastic too. Get 2 of those, 2 venoms and a HQ, you've got a decent army.

Battle forces are best for new players to boot strap an army. They are notorious for including a spread of units that either aren't all competiive, or can't be used competitive in the same list, but still provide good value.

If you can trade at all, you can often get something more useful for what you don't need.

OT: am I the only person that though of Supertroopers? "meow listen here!"

Sort of did.

Most of the time the battleforce won't be worth it unless you aren't really going in any specific direction with the army anyway.

That's somewhat true.

Some are just bad, like Space Marines. Close Combat scouts? Assault Squad? Rhino over Razorback (a two dollar difference for a much more versitile kit)? A five man combat squad? It's hard to find players that really need what's in that box at all.

OTOH, stuff like the Ork battle force includes three good boxes: two of boys and one trukk. Are three bikes worth $8? Probably.

Nids are a great value, with four useable troops choices at a substantial discount.

IG, as noted by others, works great as the core of an infantry heavy list, with a reduced price on 2 squads, a command squad, and a heavy weapon squad. That's before you factor in the sentinel! Yeah, it's a weird inclusion... but it's at no extra cost.

Ditto the Tau box, in which the Crisis suit, fire warriors, and devil fish are $95 of the $110 battleforce, meaning you pay $15 for 12 kroot and three stealth suits.

Not to mention that crisis suit can be used as the HQ and thus be a fully contained army for small 500 point matches.

The Space Marine one's pretty decent. 15 SM are always useful, if you don't want the combat squad kitbash them into Sternguards. Rhino not being a Razorback I get though.

Still, the case value of the five man squad is $25, when the actual use value is less than half of that of a tactical squad. ($37.25)

If there was a second upgrade sprue (sgt, ML, specials) than I'd be far more kind. As it is, it's just five more guys.

Good thing we can view dakkite's ALL posts then? or else anyone might have believed that post you just made up.

I do not spam, simple as that, and I certainly don't see single word posts other then that "maow" , which already mentioned, is in context.

Infact, I challenge you to show me the exact banal and generally unhelpful single word posts I posted that warranted the ban.
And I'll prove you how wrong you are.

Not fair.

1) A picture is worth a thousand words especially when relevant to the post.

2) Especially when i took the time to photoshop the weinerdog post.

3) The picture helps the context in the thread.

Polonius, I would say you are right IF you ignore the whole thread and only look at my post As It Is.
But thats not how it works right?

Espcially lots of them are from OT section as well.

Trust me, I can get into detail with all those you linked, but anyone that takes the time to read a few post
before what i posted would understand the context ( and probably agree ).

They are pretty much the only thing GW sells that is actually still a value. Of course they have to fit into your army building plans properly to be good for you as a specific buyer.

The Tyranid box is great for bulking up an army or even starting one.

You get 16 Termagants - great for those who have converted Tervigons. You get 16 Hormagaunts, which, if you don't like, you can throw the Devourers/Fleshborers on from the Termagants (whichever you didn't use on the Termagant bodies) to give you a base Devilgaunt unit to make Tervigons count as troops, leaving the others for spawning. You get 8 Genestealers, and, well, you can never have too many Genestealers, and 3 Warriors. If you aren't a fan of Warriors, they're great for conversions. I've seen convincing Lictors, Hive Guard and Zoanthropes all made from that box.

Buying a Hive Tyrant with that box is a pretty decent started force for Tyranids.
