A DP hits out in the open. Can some doors open and not others? Thus allowing TLoS with a missle launcher while denying TLoS to disembarked marines on the opposite side.
Hmmmm?

Again:

Personally, I don't care if the doors are open or closed honestly because as long as I know what weapon it's armed w/ & we decide ahead of time if it blocks LoS or if it just counts as a cover save it's all good. This is because awhile back before there was an official model for the drop pod there were quite a few scratchbuilds/conversions out there that weren't opening models.

That means also that if we agree ahead of time it just confers a cover save then TLoS is kind of a meh issue where we just treat it as if there's nothing else intervening between the target & shooter I can shoot at them & vice-versa. The pod has 360 degree field of fire w/ or w/out the doors open again unless there's intervening terrain that blocks LoS.

I'm not a TLoS nazi honestly. I feel if it's reasonable that you can see me, take the shot & vice-versa because, TBH, 40k terrain is only models & the minis themselves would be in motion IRL which means odds are a target of opportunity will present itself. But, that's just me, YMMV..

Simply put, w/ me either you can shoot through the pod & it confers a cover save or it blocks all LoS through it, period. This is because that completely cuts out this type of "debate"
