Uhh... no. That was the original Rogue Trader - 1st Ed. 2nd Ed was when they got organised, tied all the disparate pieces of fluff together, and started releasing actual army books.

^Yeah. In Rogue Trader it's actually assumed that a GM is sitting in on the battle. 2nd ed changed close combat and made vehicles much less cumbersome.

RT really was essentially Warhammer with sci-fi rules tacked on. Used to be that vehicles had wounds! And armor saves!! Hell, in that system a Rhino cost 370 points and had 10 wounds with a 4+ armor save. Of course a Lascannon did 2D6 damage and -6 to armor saves, so it was still possible to kill it in one shot.
