Yeah, Dave pretty much hit the nail on the head with all the places to eat around there.... Personally, I'm not a big fan of the mexican place in the same shopping center. The ownership has changed recently and the prices went through the roof for what you get. Lolita's taco shop, however is right up the street and much better IMO.

I would imagine that on Saturday night after the first day that most of us will end up at Player's Bar and Grill to either share our tales of glory or drink our wounds away. They have pretty good food, good beer on tap, and it's in the same shopping center just a few doors down from the store.

Does your army need to be fully painted? I cant seem to find anything one way or another

No your army does not need to be fully painted but it helps alot.

my bad didnt see it was 20% of the points. How is that 20% scored? is it subjective or is there some type of rubric or a yes /no type thing?

At the end of round 5 players will assign 5pts,4pts ,3pts, 2pts and 1pt to each of their opponents, you cannot assign the same score twice. 5pts being the best and 1pt not the best. This does not mean all 5 opponents had nicely painted armies but it's a comparison. (Ties broken by Battlepoints)

People should make sure they take notes, as the beginning of day 2 is not a good time to remember what you saw the day before!

Each player will get a score card to keep track of results.

As well as who they played with a note field asking how the game was in comparison to previous games as well as questions on how thier opponents armies appeared in relation to other opponents.

It's a different way of scoring but it works well. The average for appearance and sports is a 15 out of 25.

Can't wait for this event! San Diego is the best city in America (IMO!) and the caliber of players is top notch. Plus, the beautiful ladies doesn't hurt anything either
