My favourite always has been, and will be, the Ultramarines. The good guys as far as you can go to call 7' super humans bred for genocide and xeno-phobia good guys. Add in the fact that ~90% of all other genocidal xeno-hated 7' super humans aspire to be like them, and you've got yourself some pretty awesome Astartes right there.

My least favourite has got to be either the White Scars, "Hey, let's put Genghis Khan and his mongolian warriors in space! And give them motorbikes!" Or Raven Guard, when your Primarch is the emo kid of the family who also dabbled in Hammer Horror style genetics, you just know you're not going to go far. It's like the Emperor made him after reading too much Edgar Allen Poe, whilst watching a Tim Burton marathon.

Really? I like the White Scars for that exact reason, I really like the inspiration behind a lot of the chapters.
I'll admit I know virtually nothing about the Raven Guard, I didn't even know they were an original founding Chapter

I never liked the Roman inspiration behind the Ultramarines, I liked the Captain of the 2nd Company, I forget his name. But I've always had a burning hatred for Marneus Calgar, I'm not even sure why....

Disliked; Dark Angels. I just really don't like them. Oh, uh, and Ultramarines?

Favorites: Raptors, Son's of Medusa, Space Sharks, Raven Guard & Space Wolves. (My daughter made me add the last one.)

Least Favorites: All the Traitors and renegades for their d-baggery.

Favourites: Black Templars (the best in the galaxy), Flesh Tearers and Angels Encarmine (red and black FTW), Carcharadons (cool theme), Space Wolves (cool theme again), Dark Angels (because of Time of Ending: The 40k Finale), and Astral Claws (regal colour scheme) and Crimson Fists (WAAAAAGH!)

Least favourites: Space Sharks (ironically...), Mantis Warriors (silly name), Rainbow Warriors (sillier name), Brazen Claws (worst colour scheme ever IMO), and, if they exist, the Red Wings http://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Red_Wings (Are you serious?)

Oh? We can mention chaos marines too? In that case:

Favourites: Black Legion (colour scheme) Alpha Legion (fluff)

Least favourites: Iron Warriors (an awesome idea is ruined by those thrice-damned hazard stripes, which I despise)

Even the Thousand Sons? They were sort of Tzeentch'd into it.

Fav; Imperial Fists, nothing says your a Bad Mo' like going into combat wearing bright yellow. "Here I am! Whaddya gonna do about it?" kind of thing.

Sure they are pure Codex right behind the Ultra-smurfs but that's okay, nothing wrong with Vanilla Marines on the table.

Least Fav: Has to be Blood Angels, Space Vampires? Really...next thing you know there'll be teenage girls playing the game with their army of Edwards and they will have them all "sparkling" maybe it's a pop culture thing that is behind this.... And in the fluff their blood lust makes me often wonder why they didn't go the forces of Chaos along with the other traitors....

Favorite: Space Wolves. They actually have lives.

Least favorite: Red Scorpions, Black Templars (ultra puritan is disustingly boring/one dimensional) and Dark Angels (giving themselves 'double secret probation' is moronic).
