Maybe they might be nice by not raising prices.

As part of the anniversary the price increase will be 25%.

On a serious note. I've not played 40K for 5 years now and I'm hoping that GW will release something this year that will want me to pick the game up again.
If that is a new edition with some cool unexpected releases then so be it, however at the moment it feels like the releases for this year will be all about filling gaps in the range, nice for people who already have an army and who need some wolves to finish their army but it doesn't get me interested (yet).

Good? Bad? I'm the guy with the gun . . .

Barring that, I think that people are jumping the gun on the 25th anniversary thing. I would say that it's very likely coming this summer, rather than blowing the whole thing three months into the year.....

I think the point he is making is that passing off a new edition/box set as being the big 25th item is rather anti-climactic since they would be releasing it regardless.

Unless it ends up being some mega box set far bigger and more chocked full of models/terrain then past non-anniversary box sets...

Well, I'm happy with my trannofex/tervigon. Happy 25th for me, certainly.

"If you really want to know what it was like, to fight in the air in the great War, then go up to someone you have never met and who has never done you the slightest harm and pour a two-gallon tin of petrol over them. Then apply a match, and when they are nicely ablaze, push them from a fifteenth-floor window after first perhaps shooting them a few times in the back with a revolver. And be aware as you are doing these things that ten seconds later someone else will quite probably do them to you. This will exactly reproduce... the substance of First World War aerial combat and will cost your country nothing. It will also avoid the necessity of ten million other people to die in order for you to enjoy it."

Has there actually been many problems with this model?
At my local GW myself and around 15 others opened up our models and there were no issues at all- practically perfect casts! A couple of small bubbles in out of the way places but no miscasts whatsoever.

Short answer: Apparently.
Long answer: Go take a gander at the last few pages of the Finecast shenanigans thread on this very board.

This is, emphatically, why I will continue suggesting nuking Guard and starting over again. It's a legacy army that needs to be rebooted with a new focal point.

Confirmation of why no-one should listen to Kanluwen when it comes to the IG - he doesn't want the IG, he want's Kan's New Model Army...

OOOH, that's bad. Ha, I really wanted to get one but ended up saving my money for this very reason.
