If you want to stick to CSM, I have a 1250 point lash & smash list that has worked great for me.

It goes a little something like this:

1250 Chaos Space Marines

HQ
1x Daemon Prince /w Wings, Mark of Slaanesh, Lash of Submission @155p
1x Daemon Prince /w Wings, Mark of Slaanesh, Lash of Submission @155p

Troops
5x Plague Marines /w 2x Meltagun in Rhino /w Combi-Melta@180p
5x Plague Marines /w 2x Meltagun in Rhino /w Combi-Melta@180p
5x Summoned Lesser Daemons @65p
5x Summoned Lesser Daemons @65p

Heavy Support
2x Obliterators @150p
2x Obliterators @150p
2x Obliterators @150p

It's a little bit spammy, but it's plenty fun to play. Try it out sometime!

U.K.

The two lists look awesome and i tend not to use lash as alot of people i play seem to be able to counter it so i just run a nurgle price with 2 dreads and it works better for the physcological effect of "oh frag, 3 walkers, one with many wounds"

so what you guys are saying is to win ( well attempt to win) i need Grey Knights or Blood Angels to do it is that right??

Wpago why the brother hood champion? as far as im aware he's bloody useless cannont join units because he is not an independant character and only has one wound and power armour so realistically the emperors champion is better and cost less points??

thats a thought, are black templars any good at 1500-1750? there was a guy at the local tourny i just played in and it was a really good list the only reason he lost to me was i had 9 atack bikes all with multi-melta's....dreadnaughts and tanks didnt look to happy when they got blown up. but when he got into combat it got messy

If you want to faceroll everyone without trying play Grey Knights.

If you like actually trying , then play anything else.

Grey Knights still lose to good lists run by competent players. They're good, but by no means an auto-win.

No it's not. CSM have a bit more of an uphill struggle, but it's not a foregone conclusion. Daemons only really have issues with lists full of Strikes and Purifiers, and those are rare. Fiends are still great. Tzeentch heralds are still great. Bloodthirsters with Collars of Khorne are a giant PITA for GK.

Wow lots of people on my question

right stop bickering now as i hate lesser daemons anyways...

so after talking to a life long Bangels player I've narrowed it down to either bangels ( probabley a successor chaptor), Black Templars, or Imperial Fist.... so comeon dakkaites give me some help/advice on them all. pros cons and all the bits inbetween :-)
