Starship Troopers were not described as anything like what the movie displayed. They didn't have bare arms and goofy helmets. The novel had them with full faceplates, heavier armor, and the occasional trooper in Power Armor.
The movie was made in 1997.
Cadians first came out around 1989.
When did the Cadian Shock Troops box come out? I know old Cadians looked nothing like them.
And yes, I get that there's a lot of rage about Starship Troopers being butchered... I've not read the book but from what I understand it's a lovely pro-fascist piece of work by a staunch militarist whose 'service' to his country was... in the Coast Guard. So I'm not sure about just how much I am going to enjoy that one.

I thought all of the M.I were in powered armor.

It's not pro-fascist. There is nothing in the novel that indicates that. And there were old cadians?

ANOTHER tiberium C&C? How? Considering NOD transcended to a higher plane of existence, and GDI fell apart because of how corrupt it was, I can't see this working.
EA has butchered C&C, they ruined it.

Good spot, i lol'd. There is no grounds to sue, it easily has the required 7 (?) major Aesthetic differences to see a pursuing lawsuit thrown out. This is akin to you complaining that the 'Cheetah' from GTA: Vice City looks just like the Ferrari Testarossa. Yes they ripped it off, can GW do anything about it? No.

Jump Jet infantry existed in C&C2 (1999) and improved significantly with the Rocketeer in RA2 (2001). DoW didn't come out until 2004. Considering the trope of jump jet infantry existing for a long time, it's just parallel development.
Also, Powered Armor first appeared as the Wolverine in C&C2 (1999) or even the experimental XO-suit in C&C1 (1995).
Long story short, Westwood developed the C&C universe wonderfully when they were by themselves. EA corrupts and steals, but taking units from C&C's past and upgrading them isn't stealing.

^ yes Jumpjet units exists in the C&C Universe as early as 1998. but by then it was treated as 'flyers' in Tiberian sun. Jumpjet infantry is significantly SLOW, yet jumpjet has no definite leaping distances . in both Tiberian sun. and RA2. Jumpjet inf. and rocketeer shoots while airborne..
Relic introduced 'definite leaping distances' into DoW units that can do Jumpjet assaults.

Would GW have grounds to sue?
GW does. and i'm sure GW doesn't really lack of money power to file a lawsuit against EA.
I don't know how does the 40k licensing deals between GW and Relic works and 'royalty payment conditions' Relic/THQ needs to pay GW. but that's a large fortune to GW .. enough to teach EA a painful lesson.
or at least. it's enough for EA to remove this Baneblade clones from the final release of this game..
meow.

No.
Tiberian Sun Jump Jet Infantry walked on the ground. If you told them to move a short distance, they'd walk. They were ground units with the ability to jump-jet distances if needed. They were not fliers. Rocketeers were fliers.
Either way, they still came first before Dawn of War.
Fact of the matter is, C&C units simply didn't have activated special abilities.
It's parallel development. Dawn of War implemented jump troops using 40k as the precedent. EA made jump jet troops using C&C as a precedent.
You're grasping at straws trying to accuse the C&C franchise of something it's not guilty of.
Blame EA for this atrocity of ripping off the Baneblade and leave your unrelated inaccuracies elsewhere.

There are still white knights that believe GW with their awfully misguided legal department have a chance in actually legitimate cases.
After continuously botching the Chapterhouse-affair misfire, it seems to be free picking at GW IP.
