Im liking the head, but whats up with its tail? Are webbed tails not traditionally the domain of sea Dragons and creatures of an aquatic nature? I mean theres nothing to say it isnt an aqautic Dragon but the tail really doesn't match the rest of the sculpt.

Wow, the revelation on the wings is somewhat depressing...

Some angles it looks good, other angles it looks plain and simple. And the obvious stealing for the DE dragon wings is pure profiteering. Didn't cost any extra to make them, and I bet the price isn't any lower.

I think it looks totally great. It's rules are amazing and it's going to be a lot of fun on the table. I think seeing one painted up well would silence a lot of detraction here.

Mate, it eats warpstone for shiz and giggles, with a diet like that, it could have Lionel Richie's singing head or a D cannon on the end of it's tail!

The webbed tail, split chest, mouth, and wings are obviously designed to give the impression that this warpfire dragon comes from the same species as the Dark Elves' dragon.

That said, I don't love it, but I would like to see it painted.

For some reason it looks like it's perched on a stone penis. But besides that looks like an awesome dragon

Don't like it. Too smooth and that head is funky, in a bad way.

I loved it at first. Then at second look not so much and now the third look I wish they were just selling the head

At closer inspection I've just noticed that the wings are not alone. The main body itself is the dark elf dragon. It's basically an upgrade kit where the neck/head, arms, tail, and saddle are replaced. You can see the change in color on the pieces and it's really saddening in all honesty.

To be fair, the description of the kit on FW's page is:

They don't say that it is the Dark Elf Dragon kit, but they do not say which kit is the plastic part for many combination kits(some old examples include the Sentinel Powerlifter, Atlas, and Trojan) so that's not too big of a deal.

That's actually what got me looking closer. I still like the model and for the price I am definitely impressed in most regards. Out of curiosity, however, do such "upgrade" models generally come with the entire plastic model? Or just the used parts?

Most of them do come with the entire kit, yeah.

I'm debating calling and asking them about it on Monday.

If so then I can say that would definitely sell me on it. Roughly $20 for all the upgraded pieces is definitely nice, and I can't explain how much I'd love to see a Chaos Lord on one.

I think it would need a wing swap, possibly Balrog wings.

I really like that head, would have been nice if the body was a little bigger.

I didn't think it was possible to make the Dark Elf Dragon to look decent but they did. No small feat!

Buttlerthepug, I asked over on their Facebook page about if it includes the riders and the like. Hopefully we'll get an answer on Monday.

Looking forward to hearing back then, as again, that would definitely seal the deal!
