Be sure I ll Take a photo of the full force when it will be finished. And probably some battlefield photos. I also want your opinions on what else should I create apart from the things I ve shown you and the things I ve posted tha are under painting construction in order to complete the force. Share some ideas with me though I don't know if the p&m index is the correct one to ask something like this. But after all it has to do with my night lords showcase. So, I would appreciate some ideas.

beautiful army you've got there. is the lightning part of the night lords fluff or your own invention?

@ Varl: Lightning effect is part of the Night Lords armor. It's not my invention but the 40k fluff. Midnight blue black with lightning cracks.

@ TheAngrySquig: True that, that not my first army . its the second time i restart the game and hobby, though i ve done it in quite a back in time.
Actually i intend apart from listing the last NL's members of my force here to create a new thread with my finished other CSM army,
such as my plague marines special chars etc, though many of them are still unpainted. And also i ll create another thread with my
Iron Warriors siege company .

I ve worked fast to add my half first csm NL squad. It's the first 5 members and i m working fast to complete the other 5.
This squad is made from csm bits mostly but i ve also used bits from berzerkers, a havoc head. I decided that this squad will be the most
violent and cc oriented of the two troop choices of the force. So i build almost all of them with bolt pistols and chainswords.
I also decided that in order to give them something appropriate for their style i should also paint their helmets red.
But i need some help. Why don't you help me give them a name. i haven't figure one yet.
I ll be busy finishing the other 5. After this squad No1 i ll start squad No2 which will be a surprise. ( I m not giving any hints about them) ;D
Enjoy!

The brass parts of the minis are simple. First shinning gold. Then wash with devlan mud. then hightlight with shinning gold and a bit with boltgun metal to give weathering effects on bronze-goldish armor.

All those are great! I especially love the freehands. You also managed to nail the pale skin colour. The red helmets of the squad are ... unusual, but interesting. It`s also nice too see that their backpacks look good with nothing but blue colour on it. Being a Night Lords player myself, I often tend to overload the models by painting way too many tiny details like trims, cables etc. Your painting style is very inspirational for me! Could you share a tutorial on the blue armor?

Ok first of all i decided to name the squad raveners.. Don't ask why.. cause probably they will have a banner on their unit with the name and symbol painted on it ..
Still havent figured the symbol out.

@ Clyde Frog: I know that the red helmets are unusual but i wanted the army to be completely my idea and not a copy. That's why i gave almost all of the models
things that fitted only in my point of view. So i thought that why not a band of 10 CC maniacs, paint their helmets red in order for their brothers to distinguish them in battle?
plain and simple. As for the blue armor and backpacks: The official Night Lords have silver backpacks or blue with golden trims. I dont like shinning power armors and golden trims that
make models look like their armor is just factory produced. I also think that warriors of 10.000 years after battle and battle they chnged their armors in order to fix them or replace them.
Highlights are painted on the back of each backpack. I could share a tutorial with photos as i start and finish the next squad i ll paint.
