lol I don't even get to play apoc much and I'm collecting baneblades just for the hell of it. Makes super cool looking display cases if nothing else. Armored spearhead of 3 super heavy tanks always brings a smile to my face. For that alone it's worth the cost of going to work everyday lol.
Now I'm in the middle of getting a crap ton of valkyries. So far air force is only at 3 (ok for normal games I suppose) but one of these days I'll do air cav on top of everything. Including storm ravens and marine vehicles, I'm catching up to the OP in the armored department. I'm still short an imperial titan though...

Why would you ever use a deathstrike missile? I might in an apocalypse game, and even then I would field as many as I could since it is an unreliable one shot weapon.
because if you play apoc you can field these!

For fun? If you have enough tanks that people look at your models and are visibly shocked by the amount you have you obviously have a love of vehicles that goes beyond min maxing efficiency out of your list.

Used 5 deathstrikes in a modified FOC game once. Was hilarious. Wiped out half the board with 2 of them, killed a single tac squad with one, and then killedj one DE skimmer with 2 more (FLIIICCCCKKKERRRRRFIEEEELLLDDDSSSS!!!!!!)
That said, I would much rather have manticores, but nothing beats the look on your opponent's face when you start describing how the deathstrike's blast rules work...
Me"Oh yeah, it's AP 1, S10, 9-12" large blast, full strength for everything in the blast, annnnnd you can't take cover saves..."

He's not even sure how many he has, but last estimate was 19... and thats not counting all the other armor he has lying around. He found a chimera kit just laying around the other day and said "I already have like 10 of these, you want it?" I think he might be getting close to the too much armor point...

The deathstrike has to be one of the dumbest IG weapon systems out there...let's drive a tank on the field that carries only a single excessively large missile that is useless after the first shot. The Manticore at least gets multiple shots..

Sounds more like someone just is jealous you can afford all those tanks, lol.
I mean, yeah, you probably have "too much" in that it will be hard to use all of them in a single game, but hey, feth it. It's your money and if you like the models, why not?
