I'll probably wait for the german halftrack conversion kits. Looking to get a few 3.7cm Gun, 7.5cm Cannon, and 8cm Mortar variants.

I'm looking into starting FoW but I'm on a budget seeing as I'm a student.
Would this list still be competitive in 2013?
It looks like a decent list to learn the game with.

Yes that would still be fine - you can also use the easy army builder, cheaper than buying an army book http://www.easyarmy.com/index.aspx

Thanks for you're help.
I've heard some of the special rules aren't on easyarmy.
So i will eventually have to get an army book right?

@DvR

You could consider buying the 'open fire' starter set, provided the included rulebook covers the special rules that are not available on easyarmy.

Btw, where are you from? I'm also looking into FoW. One of the major thresholds is that I don't know anyone playing the game.

I'm from Zeewolde. Yesterday I had an introduction game at a local wargaming group in Amersfoort.
They play warhammer fantasy, 40k and flames of war. I believe they have 14 people thqt play FoW and they play on wednesdays and friday evenings.

I thought about buying buying the openfire startingbox but il need someone tot take the allied models of my hands.

@DvR could you do us a favour and open your query as a new topic, it's just a friendly bit of advice, because one of the rules of Dakka is not to re-open old threads over 3 months old (the mods will jump on people for it!), also known as "Necro-ing".

If you open your posts as a new topic I'll happily help you out.

Also welcome to Dakka and FOW! If you are new check out our new starter article here.

Collecting Forge World 30k????? If you prefix any Thread Subject line on 30k or Pre-heresy or Horus Heresy with [30K] we can convince LEGO and the Admin team to create a 30K mini board if we can show there is enough interest!
