At the time we tried and they told us there was nothing in the rules to stop it so and all we could do is ding thier sportsmanship score. That is the best way to deal with it, but a lot of people will only score you if they can see what you gave them, or ding you if you won’t let them see. Plus TO are notorious for telling people who gave them bad scores.

He won and you played poorly. If he was upset, it was because you were acting like a tool.
How did i play poorly?
I defended my points. I kept my self from being obliterated out in the open.
I think i had what, maybe 2 guys that could pen or glance his dreadnoughts, which were the forerunners of his army.
And they were in a transport full of warriors.
I was outmatched. I brought a for fun list, he brought a tournament crush everything list.
Instead of going out and getting tabled like he anticipated, i only lost 3 kps, instead of 8.

LMAO let me get this straight you had no idea what he was bringing and you decided not to bring anything that can pen AV12 in a 1500 point list and your asking how you played poorly????
I'd say your tactic that pissed him off was wasting his time and I think every player here would agree that it's people like you that they avoid playing the most.

I am not sure why you think he is upset? Having read your story the only thing you did was try to be as annoying as possible by making the game drag on. The thread title is misleading. It should be renamed to "When you are losing do you act childish, I sure do!"
Your post makes you look worse than him. So I am not sure why you even posted it.
As for tactics that are done with the purpose of driving your opponent nuts. Pretty much any necron list I make. My opponent has to deal with nightfight, models coming back from the dead, and modified difficult terrain. The necron army by itself is lol worthy in little annoyances your opponent has to put up with. Its an army for trolls(the internet kind)

Uh no, i brought necrons famed gauss weapons that could at the least glance his noughts. Of course, he parked his 2 dreadnoughts 47 inches away and took pot shots at me, after he surrounded them with all of his GK goodness.
Also, you dont consider 19 scarabs able to handle av 12?
And further more, this was 2/4 times hes done the wait in reserves, waste 3 turns on me deal with GK.
That means that i dont even get a chance to shoot until turn 4.
What would you do differently?

Yeah, basically. :/ OR you could just bring a list worth playing. Seriously? Did you really expect not to have to deal with AV12 in a 1500 point game? I haven't even made my first army yet, and I know that's asking to be steamrolled. If your 19 scarabs HAD handled those dreads, then you shouldn't have had to play hard to get till turn five.

Termiesinaraider, you obviously did not read my list. Here, ill post it again for your convienence.
Anrakyr the traveler
Royal court
C. Destruction w/pulse
Lord with res orb, MSS, warscythe
Elite
5 deathmarks
Ctan w/pyreshards and transdimensional thunderbolt
Fast
10 scarabs
8 scarabs
Troops
9 warriors in a ghost ark
10 pyrrian eternals w/tesla carbine
10 immortals w tesla carbines
Lets take a look at what i have on this list and see what can deal with the AV12 shall we? Now remember, the board is 4 feet by six, lined with servo skulls 24 inches in. Also, there was nothing on the board for me to shoot at until turn 4.
First and foremost. 19 scarabs. (causes damage to AV)
9 warriors with gauss flayers (glances on 6's, rapidfire, so 3's to hit, 6's to glance)
THe ghost ark, with 5 flayers a broadside (Same as above)
Anrakyr, with warscythe and tachyon arrow (Warscythe, strength 7, 2d6 pen, tachyon arrow, 1shot, str10 ap 1)
The lord with warscythe (same as above
Ctan with transdimensional thunderbolt (Str9, ap2)
C.destruction ( Str 8, ap2)
I have a total of 57 models in this list. 59% of the models can hurt av12.
2 of the models can fire further than 24 inches (The tachyon arrow a 1 shot deal and the C.destruction 36 inches)
Please, do tell me how to move 6 inches, and fire your 24 inch range weapon at something thats 47 inches away, and walks backward as you move forward.
Also, yesterday was my 5th match with him, and like i said, ive used different lists every time. Sure enough, he DS' as far away as possible, walks his noughts in as far away as possible, and then just moves them backwards and shoots.

How about you use LOS - Blocking terrain or don't move towards -most boards are only 48" across- in addition to the fact you can run d6" per shooting phase and in DoW you can be 24" from his board edge and only 1/3 of missions are KP based.

First you complain about the fact that you only had two models that could hurt his dreadnaughts then you contradict yourself that 59% of your models could hurt AV12.

Its allll about retrospective perspective!
Also, people blathing on about how horrible i am made me go back and actually read my list.
My issue ISNT the dreadnoughts. Its his deploy 48 inches away and potshot me tactics.
But! I have a counter tactic that i am SURE will stop this shenanigan!

How is it a "shenanigan", what do you think is the "right" thing to do, deploy close to you so you can assault him with your scarab?

Any Eldar army that brings three Wraithlords to the table. Actually, the most fun I've ever had is when my opponent asked to see my list mid-game, and found that I'd taken a minimized Wraithlord as a fire magnet (Wraithsword, two flamers. 100pts), and facepalmed as he realized how much of his firepower he'd poured into trying to kill one 100pt model.

Why is this a thread?
Are we really supporting trolling other players for the sake of trolling?

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."
This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
