Just LOL'd majorly after my last game, and i thought about creating this thread! Post tactics you have used in games to piss your opponent off.

Heres his list, and mine. Mind you, i had no clue what he was playing when we started, i just randomly generated my list.
GK player
2 inquisitors, 5 skulls, psy communion each
5 GKSS, psi cannon, psi ammo
2x 10 GKSS, 2 psi cannons, hammer, psi ammo
1x 10 interceptors, 2 psi cannons, master hammer, psi ammo
2 dreadnoughts, 2 twin auto cannons, psi ammo
1 dreadknight, heavy inc
1500pts
Necrons (Me)
HQ
Anrakyr the traveler
Royal court
C. Destruction w/pulse
Lord with res orb, MSS, warscythe
Elite
5 deathmarks
Ctan w/pyreshards and transdimensional thunderbolt
Fast
10 scarabs
8 scarabs
Troops
9 warriors in a ghost ark
10 pyrrian eternals w/tesla carbine
10 immortals w tesla carbines

Lol the GK player seemed surprised i didnt have lots of nightfighting going on, but i had just created the list to see how itd do
Mission: Annihilation Deployment: Dawn Of War
He rolls higher init, tell me to go first and choose my side so he can deploy his servo skulls
As soon as he says this i know exactly what is about to happen. He is going to hold everything in reserves till the last minute and deepstrike then and wipe me out...Except....

Ive been, there, tried that dakka, and lost horribly. So, firstly I set myself a goal: Kill the Dreadknight. My second goal: Do even less movement than the GK player.
I leave my expendable 5 man squad of deathmarks waiting for an ethereal interception in reserves.
I deploy my pyrrian immortals, anrakyr the lord, and the other immortal squad as butted up against a BLOS building, that is situated well into my left corner of the board so that you can only get LOS on them from an extreme angle from one side and the direct side.
All my reserves walk on the board, except i run my scarabs up behind a BLOS hill, and i put my other scarabs in 4+ cover, kinda split up.
The ghost ark with the warriors and destructor i butt up against the immortals (lol) so once again, extreme angle or side to hit em. The ctan i send out into the open, knowing whats in store for him, up the left side of the board.
Turn 1
My turn ends, opponents turn. Nothing. keeps everything in reserves
Turn 2.
My turn, i finish adjusting the scarabs into maximum cover. I run the ctan forward 3 inches.
Opponents turn. Rolls for reserves, gets a bunch except the dreadknight which he seems upset about the most.

Dreadnoughts walk on, units ds in waaaay on the other side of the board. Shoots the ctan to death. Nicks an immortal but doesnt kill it.
Turn 3
Nothing for me to do, so i bide my time. His turn. Rolls the dreadknight in, drops him near the far right scarabs, i know he is in range for 12 inch drop the flamer template on both my units of scarabs.
I call ethereal interception and hunters from hyperspace on his dreadknight. But, theres a catch. I intend to either drop it 100% perfect and draw los on the dread, or, offer the deathmarks to Khorne.
I set my deepstrike right so i can either hit, or mishap. I chanced that i had about a 75% chance of killed them off. Sure enough, scatter 7 inches off the board ,misplaced.
Expectedly he places the foddermarks infront of all of his bunched up DS'ers.
They wipe the deathmarks in a hail of psi-shots.
Dreadknight flames and kills 6 out of 8 scarabs.
Turn 4
I turn the 10 scarab swarm and get them as far and out into the open as i can (Now they are visible to the GK's and dreadnoughts on the other side of the board. I do this because A) I dont want to lose them to the dreadknight, and B) Im counting on the solar pulse im about to pull to prevent them from being shot
Assault, i assault the dreadknight with the 2 scarabs and my opponent says "Ah, you know this is a KP game right?"
Dreadknight goes first. Swipes. Misses completely. Scarabs hit, and wound, but the knight saves.
Prevents my 10 scarabs from getting flamed.
Opponents turn, pop a solar pulse.
He takes aim but cannot see the scarabs with all of his guys. Assault. He kills the scarabs.
Turn 5
I make ready to-And he calls the game!
I LOL'd hard.
He left really fast too, so i could tell he wasnt quite happy with how i played. Better than running out like berserkers

I decide to use a Deathstrike for nothing but Lol's in a battle with a Ork player. He manages to destroy most of my forces in the open field, 2 squads, a battle tank, and a heavy weapons squad. the rest of my troops are gathered around my death strike and my command squads chimera.

my defenses consist of my command squad, 2 squads of guardsmen and a Chimera (besides the weapons onboard the Basilisks and Deathstrike.

He begins a march around a immpassible wall enmass (and i mean every ork he's got together at the same time, scrunched together march)
HE rounds the corner with his warboss up front expecting a gun wall (which was half right), i shot at him with my little flashlights and managed to only kill 2 boyz.

but i rolled my Deathstrike and got a 6.(Launch instantly sucessful) and rolled another 6 (the maximum blast radius possible for a Deathstrike)
aimed over the large mass of orks and got a bullseye. Couldn't have been better lol

he promptly packed up all his orks and left. all i could do was give a troll smile and say "problem?" as he left.

they may be nigh pointless in regular battles but sometimes its worth it for laughs.

I just love love the posts that you GK players submit about your roflstomping victorys, You play with a grossly overpowered codex and then are "suprised" when you table your opponent at turn 1-2. Really? I guess if all your looking for is an easy "auto-win", then the grey Knights are the way to go, right???

It is the 3rd Millennium. For more than a hundred months Games Workshop has sat immobile on the Golden Throne of Nottingham. It is the foremost of wargames by the will of the neckbeards, and master of a million tabletops by the might of their inexhaustible wallets. It is a rotting carcass writhing invisibly with business strategies from the early Industrial Revolution Age. It is the Carrion Lord of the wargaming scene for whom a thousand veteran players are sacrificed every day, so that it may never truly die. Yet even in its deathless state, GW continues its eternal vigilance. Mighty battleforce starter-sets cross the online-store-infested miasma of the internet, the only route between distant countries, their way lit by a draconian retail trade-agreement, the legal manifestation of the GW's will. Vast armies of lawyers give battle in GW's name on uncounted websites. Greatest amongst its soldiers are the Guardians of the IP, the Legal Team, bio-engineered super-donkey-caves. Their comrades in arms are legion: the writing team and countless untested rulebooks, the ever vigilant redshirts, and the writers of White Dwarf, to name only a few. But for all their multitudes, they are barely enough to hold off the ever-present threat from other games, their own incompetence, Based Chinaman - and worse. To support Games Workshop in such times is to spend untold billions. It is to support the cruelest and most dickish company imaginable. These are the tales of those times. Forget the power of sales discounts and Warhammer Fantasy Battle, for so much has been dropped, never to be re-published again. Forget the promise of cheaper digital content and caring about the fanbase, for in the GW HQ there is only profit-seeking, Space Marines and Sigmarines. There is no fun amongst the hobby shops, only an eternity of raging and spending, and the laughter of former employees who left GW to join better companies.

Only if you go for a Cheesy McCheddar list.

You CAN build a weak list with the GK codex, but let's face it, no-one will

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

Lol it was my way of saying he was so ticked off he didnt want to continue the match. At this point, there was nothing i could do. My C.destruction even i i hit him full damage wise, id still be short killing him by 2 or 3 wounds.
By turn 3 i knew i lost the match, My goal was simply to give a GK a huffy attitude.

Not to be TFG, but I don't try to make my opponent mad. I want people to have fun and want to play again, I never custom build an army to tick people off or ruin a list for someone. If they can't handle losing, then I guess you could say that when I win I tick people off.

People who try to anger opponents are what ruins this hobby. We don't need custom lists out their to teach lessons to people. We need experienced gamers coming along side the jerks and showing them the error of their ways. Fewer beat downs with laughter and more guidance and intolerance of unsportsmanlike behavior would do far more than tabling a neckbeard.

If someone is a cheater and a whiner, beating their favorite shiny GK list doesn't curb this... being the bigger man does... beating them down just proves that you've got a bit of the same bitter little neckbeard in you too.

I can't say I've always gamed by this creed, but I can say I should have.

As a foot guard player, there hasn't been many times I've gotten my eyes rolled at... Except for every time I've fielded a special character.

Marbo just shows up wherever you want without scattering?

Al'rahem lets you outflank with 50 guardsmen?

Straken doesn't suck like guardsmen are "supposed" to in close combat?

I can only assume I'd get the same reaction if I took Creed (he made THAT outflank? ), or if I took Pask (your exterminator Is BS4? ), or if I took yarrick (he got up AGAIN? ). I'm pretty sure I could even get an eye roll from Mogul Kamir, played right...

I have witnessed games and been part of games where one of the guys (when I was involved, it was my opponent) always took Gift of Chaos, which honestly, how can you get mad at that ability?? its hilarious!! i mean, sure, its rather annoying when your tooled up, uber HQ that cost almost 300 points (generalizing here) gets turned into a spawn, but you gotta admit its pretty damn funny.

I really hate when people complain about how over powered GKS are. Yeah, they have good units and they can field an abundance of them but if your going to complain about their cheese just play them. I didn't play them to play op bs. I played them to play Dudes in shining armor with halberds. It just irritates me cause everyone is constantly complaining.

Funny thing a friend of mine did by complete accident. He was running GKs at 1k points against a 500pt cron army (assault heavy with lots of Lychguard with Scythes and Flayed ones) and Orks hordes. He had NOT tailored in anyway. He had just decied to run 2 ten man GK terminator squads with 2 Incinerators. Completely inncoent. His HQs were 2 Mastery Lvl 2 (emphasis 2) Libbies with no upgrades except the power Warp Rift.

For those that don't know, Warp Rift is a PSA flamer. It causes a model hit to pass an Int test or die. Vehicles take an automatic penetrating hit.

There are certain armies that irritate me, but you can’t really be mad at the player for that. It is in the book, and as each new codex comes out they are all getting their own little quarks. Once you give somebody “the magic sword of ____”, you can’t really expect them not to use it. For that hate the game not the player.

What really ticks me off is when people bend the rule without breaking it. Example one of the reason that I stopped playing tournaments are the people that play “slow hammer”. People know they are out matched or going to lose so they take as long as possible to do things in their turn so you run out of time for your turn. I played a fantasy tournament a few years ago, where I timed my opponent. On average he was taking 21 mins to take his movement phase alone. I was lucky I was playing a fast army he could not slow down. What can you do in a tournament about that? If you say anything to the person they get defensive and ding you on your scores. You can ding him but that doesn’t help your standings. Gggggrrrrr I hate that. Deliberate manipulation or misinterpretation of rules to me is the most annoying thing.

He won and you played poorly. If he was upset, it was because you were acting like a tool.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.
