I remember something like that as well. Although Yak's SUPER LEAK kinda made all other necron rumors seem irrelevant.
Indifferent on the DDoS issue here. I seriously doubt it was one, but if it was then court actions should be taken.

IDK man, I bet he'd get a lot more interest if he claimed that it was going to be 100% finecast...

Who cares if his servers have gone down once before? He does indeed have a pretty awful server.
It's not the "servers going down" that is the issue. You're narrowing in on one aspect while ignoring the other.
The point wasn't that "He has a pretty awful server". It's that he has a history of doing this "Show me your rumors, and I'll show you mine". He has a history of making an announcement that big news is coming, and shortly after his server is down. It is then followed by some kind of excuse making it very clear that this was an unavoidable situation, something that could not be foreseen.
-Comes back with vague rumors and pieces which other, more reliable rumormongers don't dispute the gist of but the specifics.
Among other info, he pretty specifically laid out the rules for the Overlord, Catacomb Command Barge, and the C'tan before anyone else. This wasn't vague info, but pretty much an line by line description. IIRC the only rumormonger who disputed it was Ghost21.
His info came after his server went down and some of this information was already out in the world.

This reminds me of the time the fat guy from Ghost Hunters fell down the stairs and claimed that a ghost pushed him. If I had to make a list of websites that would be worthy of the efforts of a DDOS attack, BoK would be right at the bottom, down near all of those ancient AOL user pages that are full of animated .GIFs from the late 1990s. GW will not be responsible for a DDOS attack for several reasons: 1. GW is full of stodgy old men that do not understand how the tubes of the Internets work. 2. GW is a respectable company, and while they often make decisions of questionable business prudence, they will never break the law with DDOS attacks. 3. Blood of Kittens is meaningless to GW EDIT: also, change the poll options to include "the whole incident is just a concoction by a hystrionic neckbeard"

Normally I don't fly my nerdflag this high, but...
I still remember that episode. It was one of the first ones they showed, New Bedford Armory in 2005.
He didn't fall down the stairs or anything. His sound gear hit him in the chest and knocked him flat on his arse. Now, whether or not it was an instance of a ghost pushing him or not--it got him upset enough to refuse to work on Ghost Hunters again.

I cannot conceive that people with disposable income would believe GW is DoS'ing a site to prevent rumors. GW would (and has) sue the entity instead for infringement.
I do not think 'my server crashed from traffic', 'I got DoS'ed' or 'Smurfs chewed through my internet cable' either promote or reflect badly on the BoK site (except for the last one being way more awesome...

You would be surprised what some people will believe when it comes to " GW is evil!".
I do not think 'my server crashed from traffic', 'I got DoS'ed' or 'Smurfs chewed through my internet cable' either promote or reflect badly on the BoK site (except for the last one being way more awesome...
Except when it's happened before, in exactly the same circumstances.
I think it is sporting of Tastytaste to say 'BTW I am going to drop some rumors I have been holding, if you want to break news ahead of me go ahead. There is no "being scooped" by providing rumors. Contrary to popular belief, there is no "prize" for being first. There is a "prize" for being right.
That "prize" is people believing you in the future when you present information. For someone who is running a website and trying to drive up hits, being right means that you are going to continue to get those hits.
Personally:
When someone presents their rumors in the format of "Tell me yours and I'll tell you mine", it just reeks of "Me too, me too!".

I considered those angles. They never actually mention that he quit working on the show, but he started working as a sound tech on American Chopper right after that whole incident. Years ago they had interviews and stuff on American Chopper with the tech crew and he mentioned he "wasn't ever going to work on that damn Ghost show again after that night".
Because ghosts do not exist.
Well...we can't prove they exist. Enough people have had experiences down the years that I find it hard to discount the possibility.
We're going OT though, so:

He's online.
Here's his list of rumors:
Tastytaste wrote:Troops choices will be Chaos Space Marines and Cultists
All Cult Marines are Elites
No new Special Characters
Special Characters will unlock Cult Marines as troops (Kharn for Berserkers and so on)
Typhus makes Cultists into Zombies
Chaos Dreadnaught is removed and replaced with a new unit (like how pariahs were replaced with Lychguard)
CSM now get a Flyer a Mechanical Chaos Dragon (model is done will be part of initial release)
Lesser and Greater Demons are gone
Spawn replaced by “Fell Beast”
I think that everything but the cultists is utter bs. No new SC's? Hahaha!
