What do you think of Dual Kits?
I like them.
Don't like them
I think GW should make s many as possible
They should not make them at all.
They should make less.
They should make somewhat less. For those that they put in a single kit they should ensure each unit has all its options

Most dual kits are simply a cost-saving measure on kits that already overlap significantly anyway. The Falcon kit and the Wave Serpent kit are identical except for the Falcon including parts for a different turret and the Wave Serpent including parts for an extended hull, the Land Raider kits are all identical except for different sponson sprues...

If they have the excess space in the box to include more parts, then they should. It gives more parts for conversion work, more stuff for your money, and they don't have to print separate boxes/handle the logistics of shipping too many different kits.

Though it is possible to go overboard on the number of random extra bits in a kit, I've been playing Eldar for years and you wouldn't believe the size of the pile of extra heavy weapons I have lying around...

Agreed if i told you how many heavy weapon bits i have it would scare you.

Plus for those of us who use army's with different options sometimes you can't find that option in the kit. I'm looking at you asault termies without a cyclone missle launcher bit.

Like others have said, I'm all in

I either have bits for conversion, or I can magnatize and customize. I do a lot of both as is, so to not have to hunt for extra bits online and just have more for my bitz box is awesome.

The way I see it it allows GW to effectively double the amount of units on offer in actual format. If they can double up thi sway it means less production cost and a greater range. There was no way they would have sold enough flyrants to make a specific kit viable but chuck it into a bigger set and bingo. I get the impression they are now thinking how they can double up on all the new releases. Consider how long the nids had unavailable models and how they are now appearing in this format, would they have bothered with say a tyrannofex only box or was it only financially and production viable with the tervigon too? I imagine that their production capacity is limited and the dual kits allow it to be maximised as well.

I like it, more room on shelf. I also get free bits.
