I've had the opposite experience. I've found they work much better then the prior version, they seem to be thinner and flow better (not as much pooling).

Coat D'Arms was their previous supplier and you can get most of their old paints from then under another name.

Also, the two layer paints I have are a little strange, Altdorf Guard Blue and Calgar Blue. They're more like a gel than an acrylic paint. It's really strange to say the least. Anyone else have this 'gel' like issue?
Apostrophes aren't for plurals! You have the new blues, not the new blue is. I have Altdorf Guard Blue and it's just like my old Ultramarines Blue. I think your particular pots might be a little dried out or something. Right now I'm using a bunch of the new browns and absolutely loving them.

Thanks Brother! do Coat D'arms have the old style washes as well as the paint range? I have some of the Valejo game colours that match fairly well, it's just the washes i'm struggling to find suitable replacements for at the moment.

I believe Coat D'arms was the supplier two ranges ago. So no Devlan Mud, if that's what you're asking.

+1 to what Breotan said on page 1. I've been trying to retrain myself to paint with the new colors - its been tough breaking all my old habits. The dry paints are actually handy and not the gimmick I'd assumed they'd be. I'm doing much less blending since they filled in the range; now it's just to mask the transition between colors rather than trying to make all new colors that I needed to bridge the gap between - in particular, black and codex grey, for example. As a side note, here's a shameless plug for Secret Weapon Washes.

I actually really like the new "washes". Haven't had a problem yet.
You just have to really shake the crap out of it before using them. If you'r looking for a different wash try out Secret Weapon Washes, their pretty good.

Other than some of them smelling really weird I haven't had any problems with the new washes that I've tried.
