Damn YouTube, giving us free videos and music and having the AUDACITY to not have a perfect infrastructure to cater to millions of simultaneous viewers!

The fact they show adverts; it's almost as Google wants to make money somehow! Absolutely unacceptable! They should have sunk their money into its purchase and just left it at that... despicable.

Well others have said they experience the same problem. So Im just going to assume its an over load of viewers problem. Which IMO, shouldnt happen on a site as popular as Youtube. Mainly because they should have the funds to keep that problem from happening. I mean if Lego can keep this site working almost bug free, with the amount of traffic it gets, Im SURE a site like youtube could do the same.

I've not noticed a problem personally, though it could be a pain in the past.

YouTube owes nothing to its viewers, though, unless it got to an absolutely critical point with complaints *everywhere*, then maybe... but at the end of the day they provide a damn fine service to literally millions. Lego caters to what, a few thousand at most?

The thing I hate is not been able to delete vids I'm not interested in, from people I'm subscribed to.

57,262 registered users, is a BIT more then a few thousand, and thats not counting guests. But I think you missed my point. In the world of miniature gaming, DAKKA is the Youtube of is all. DAKKA works almost perfectly everytime, with very few screw ups, and Lego manages this on his own as far as I know. Now Youtube, an internet GIANT, with a gakload of cash funneling in, CANT. Simply put, they cannot keep their site working flawlessly.

I dont see how DAKKA can work this smoothly, and a site as large as Youtube cant. Surely they can hire a hundred Legos?

Most of my subscriptions don't have ads. I just plays Nostalgic Critic reactions to each ad. Youtube and Facebook keep posting terrible Layouts which makes no sense, I hate the new Youtube layout and Timeline is evil for Facebook. If it isn't broken, don't fix it! ARGHHH!!!

In the end, how do they make their money? Ads. So as it gets bigger, it needs more ads to keep the infastructure and management end paid for.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

More interesting to me are the advertisers who think that making me angry and frustrated with them will make me want to buy their product. I really hope that sort of intrusive advertisement doesn't work.

Get Firefox, download AdBlockPlus and happily block every single advert you see And yes you can do it for those ads lurking within the video when you play.

Dude I never even knew there was adverts on youtube because of addblock plus but the other day I had to reinstall my firefox and redownloaded adblock+ and now it doesnt seem to block anything (it is on btw)

Gametrailers .com use to be ok, but now that AB+ does not work screw that site , an advert every vid. Make it worse its the same advert over and over.

Does anyone Know why it wont block any more?

As to a free service, You obviously missed my point earlier, though I thought I made it pretty clear. Youtube DOES owe everything it has to EVERYONE that watches youtube, specially the people that watch it religiously. Its because of those people that Youtube has the gak load of cash to pay channels to keep people watching, so they can continue to make gak loads of cash. So yes, Henners, they owe A LOT to people for their free service.

Never have any problems with youtube, besides it being impossible to find half decent content
