As I said, I wrote it during lunch at work, so didn't have Dakka to check the names

If you have more detailed C&C, knock yourself out

Can't tell you. It's a secret...

I think its nice, the naming can sorted out later on I believe. Especially if you simply do not recall them

I will try to upload my draft during the weekend

Its about an Arbites lieutenant called Veldrim and how he took over the crime scene from the local "police" , and what was his conclusions, it also details some of the frictions between PDF and the Arbites in this planet.

The first part is just to introduce the characters a bit. A small extract if you may

Can't tell you. It's a secret...

He made sure that his uniform was straight and fixed so that it had no flaws. The cadet then mustered his courage and knocked the door once. No answer came. He waited for a minute and knocked again. A calm voice invited him in. He drew in a deep breath and opened the door.

The room was faintly lit and the decoration was spartan, nothing depicting its owner’s personality. A simple bed and closet at the corner of the room. A mannequin wearing a carpace armour. A simple desk in the middle of the room and only one window. He glanced towards the window and saw the slender figure of a man looking outside.

“Report cadet Williams.” He said.

“Sir, I have an urgent report from Marshall Pavidus. Sir!”

“Very well Williams, leave it on the desk and wait for me outside.”

As Williams turned to exit the room, he heard the Lieutenant add: “Oh, and Williams there is some dirt on your left shoulder, please ensure that next time you enter my room you are tidier.”

Williams exhaled nervously and stopped outside the closed door behind him. Not even 5 minutes passed when a fully-armoured Lieutenant Veldrim came out of the door, holding his helmet with his left hand. “Let’s go Williams”, he said as he started moving down the hall and towards the barracks.

Lyrian has decided to take a shower after she meticulously cleaned her equipment. As she headed towards the bathroom her room door flew wide open and a armour–clad man stepped in. She took two steps back, grabbed her laspistol and knife and yelled, “I am Sergeant Lyrian of the Adeptus Arbites! Identify yourself before I have you…Lieutenant! Sir! I di…”

“At ease Sergeant, if I wanted you dead you would be. Now holster your weapons and get dressed, that is no sight for the cadet to see.” Veldrim said with a calm voice. Lyrian then realised that as she moved to reach for the weapons, her towel slipped and she was standing in the room naked. She blushed, grabbed her towel off the floor, some clothes from a nearby chair and headed towards the bathroom as Veldrim sat down, waiting for her.

As she got out of the bathroom wearing a white tank top and a pair of camo pants, she barked at the cadet.

“Williams, notify the men to be in full gear and outside within the next 5 minutes. Anyone that is late I am going to make sure that he cleans all the barracks for the next month! Now get out!”

“Lieutenant…” she begun.

“No need for formalities Lyr”, he said while smiling. It was good to see him smile; it has been so long since last time.

“Vel, what is going on?”

“We got an assignment; mass murder on the lower levels” he said still smiling, “You better get your armour…” he added as he turned around and headed outside.

C&C welcomed As I said its a simple introduction, I hope you want to read more

Can't tell you. It's a secret...

Detective Scaevus looked over the grim scene. It was another side street in Verhoeven but there was more than ice and snow there. The snow had nearly covered the bodies and the blood had been frozen for some time. Scaevus took a look around; he could spot body parts strewn around from at least six or seven people. It was hard to tell; only an autopsy would verify the amount of victims and to whom belonged what. Suddenly a bright light filled the street and two armoured chimaeras moved forwards with haste.
“The gakking Arbitae” said an officer. Scaevus gave him a stern look. As he moved forward to greet the leading Arbitae he felt a chill running down his spine as he saw the emblem in the chimaeras. “From all the possible Arbitae it had to be them?” He silently pondered, and gulped nervously.

As the vehicles came to a halt a fully-armoured figure jumped from the front chimaera. It was a normal person, one might think, but it was obvious she was not; since on each of her sides hung a laspistol and she had a scoped lasrifle strapped on her back. She landed perfectly and started walking as if nothing had happened. Clear orders must have been given through the vox since a clear perimeter was established with military precision, and the civilians were driven away from the crime scene. As she approached she said with a voice strict yet mellow hinted like the sweetest honey.

“Who is in charge here?”

“I am.” he said, “Detective Scaevus ma’am”

She whispered a couple of words in the vox. Almost immediately two men stood at her side. A younger man was on her left side, wearing a thermo suit with the Arbitae cadet emblems on it, along with a diaphanous mask from which it was evident that the cadet was not older than 16. The other man was just another Arbitae, but something in his stance showed that he was used on giving orders. “Or I might really need to get some sleep…” Scaevus thought. As he took a better look, he saw that the Arbitae had strapped on his right a power sword, a weapon not given or acquired easily, and on his left a bolt pistol. “Weird…”

“Okay detective brief me” she said coldly.

“Ahem…as you can see Ma’am, we have a clear murder case. As with the previous crime scene on this one as well…”

“What previous crime scene?” She demanded.

“You see this is not the first crime scene like this…” He begun, but was interrupted by the youngster next to her.

“Explain yourself detective! Why were we not informed of the first crime scene? Make sure I believe what you say before I have you arrested for withholding evidence and crucial information from the Adeptus Arbitae!”

He threw a glance towards the cadet and answered. “Hmmm, I think that cadets need to be more polite when addressing a fully-fledged local enforcement officer." He turned towards her and added. "In any case ma’am, we do not generally inform you of minor crimes, yes even if that means a seven person homicide.”

“What’s different this time?” she asked.

“Well you see, these guys belong to the Church of the Divine Emperor…”

“And you fear of anarchy and retaliations from their Church." As he nodded she continued. "I see. Any witnesses?”

“None as far as I know.” he answered.

“Very well detective, you can get your men out now, this is our problem now.”

“People! Lets pack everything up!” Scaevus yelled. “Should you need any assistance you know how to find us.”

With that she dismissed him and turned to the man on her right.

“Well sir, what do you think?”

Excellent stuff Bobakos! Had almost forgotten about this if i'm Honest. Have been doing some non-dakka/40k writing so it kinda slipped my mind.

Will write something for myself when i get a moment/feel a proper creative burst.

Can't tell you. It's a secret...

Spoiler:
So; I’m back. Yes I know it’s been a while but between personal issues and a writer’s block it’s hard to get something together. As always feedback is more than welcomed!

Anyway now back to the story:

Veldrim had a grim look at his face. He was looking at the murder scene as he was trying to relive the whole massacre that took place.
She saw him taking a step back towards the entrance of the alley. Then he looked up and across the street and said:

“Sergeant go to that roof there and tell me how visible this alley is from there.”

She snapped at attention, and started running towards the building. As she was running towards the building, she voxed “Sanders and Lapith with me!”

“Williams” started Veldrim “get the body parts to our morgue and tell the coroner to start the autopsy as soon as possible.”

“Autopsy sir?” asked Williams.

“It’s obvious is it not?” He asked. “Take a look here, see the stabs here, here and here?” Williams nodded. "Look at the size of the torso, you think a guy like this would drop by some stab wounds? There might be poison on the weapons used and I need to know!"

Williams nodded again. “ Now look here” Veldrim added as he pointed at the wall.

“See this?” Veldrim asked.

Williams took a quick look. “This was done by a stubber!”

“Correct Cadet Williams. Now go find me some witnesses that heard the stub pistol that did this.”
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
“What the hell are we doing up there again Sarge?” Sanders asked.

Lyrian was too absorbed in her thoughts to even pay attention to the reply that Lapith gave. This must be really bad she thought. She had not seen Veldrim that grim since the Lamia incident almost 2 years ago, before they were re-assigned to this gakhole. She took a deep breath as they reached the building.

“Ok you two, time to see what you have learned. Breach the building and reach to the roof carefully and quietly. Assume that we are on enemy ground.”

Both men nodded.

“Sanders, if you ever question orders again I will have you flayed! Now MOVE!”
………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………….
As Williams moved across the alley and went for the first building when he saw a large crowd on the right side of the road approaching. As he begun to move back a little he realized that there were screaming come from the left side as well.

“Sir! We have problems!” He voxed.

Like one man the unit of Arbitae moved at the road with Lieutenant Veldrim at its head.

“What in the name of the Emperor is going on?” Veldrim demanded.

As the two large groups of people came closer it was clear that they were members of the two churches cursing at one another. Veldrim organized the Arbitae he had placing the two Chimaeras as a roadblock.

He voxed at Lyrian “Sergeant get into position NOW! We have a serious problem out here!”

After a brief moment the reply came “Acknowledge. Eta 1 minute”
