Could it be the ultra hardcore mod that mindcrack uses? I think it would add a whole new level of intensity to it. Maybe sixteen players on a 2000 by 2000 world?

I would prefer a capture the flag event with people forming two player teams. Where you get a minecraft day to prepare before both teams can go out killing each other.

I could create a map for this purpose, I would host it if I can.

The Survival Games will be a free-for-all ultra-hardcore deathmatch with the following rules.

◦Only one player can win The Survival Games.
◦You can not break any blocks, expect for leaves, vines and mushrooms.
◦You are only allowed to place blocks you find in chests.
◦Your inventory must be empty before you start the game.
◦No player is allowed to enter the host house.

Cos in the video someone posted in the main thread when people died they just threw thousands of items and mobs

I don't like these rules, it turns the game into just another PVP game, rather than an actual minecraft survivor game.

Well just on a side note, I'm creating a map for a capture the portal game.

The only rules would be. No mods, optifine is an exception.
You must wait a minecraft day before the game starts, it must be at a time agreed by both sides it's a 2vs2 game.
I must be there also, any block can be broken the chest may not be covered with tons of blocks.
There's a unlimited amount of lives, the winner is the one that builds the portal gets to the nether and gets the book, which when writing comes out will have some writing in.

There's going to be ruins and secret chest with enchanted weapons/armour. The map is hand built not using MC edit and there are no diamonds, the best armour you will get will be that which is given to you at the start. You can mine and so on.

I will create a new thread for the whole thing but only if I'm allowed. I don't want to clutter the video games forum with more minecraft related things.

Anyway the map size is 201X100 and a depth of 16.

Well that's not true, there's no diamonds in the map, whatsoever, so if your implying that they can then make obsidian then your fears are unfounded

They've got to take your obsidian from the chest. Then make it back to their portal point and build it, you could always manage to kill them and take it back.

If you thinking about it covering the area near the chest then you should invest in some buckets

Anyway I will make another thread as another person likes it

Trouble is, portals can be made without diamond, you just need lava. Simply build a dirt mould, and pour in the lava and water as required. And Hey Presto! Portal.

How about instead of not placing or breaking blocks you can break and place but you cannot hide the entire game?

I agree on that.
And since I will be there for every game, I will just add it to the rules.

I will have my own team aswell. Except I know where all the hidden weapons are, including some TNT, just one. It's enough to cause serious damage to the enemy base if someone's sneaky about it.

Now guys, after scanning the map's chests I can clearly see the materials that form flint and steel.

Should we ban the use of the item?

Nah, just reset the map after the event is done, flint and steel is a weapon after all, and too many rules make thing overcomplicated and less fun.

True dat, also they are pretty far apart and its doubtable whether a person can travel that far without getting jumped.

Uh, ok.

But I am interested in a Minecraft hardcore/PVP game, not "Hunger Games in Minecraft." Isn't that what this is supposed to be? Or are we just playing "pixelated FPS"?
