See those metal bumps? Those are the bullets that hit them in the head and didn't penetrate the almost solid bone.
As a marine progresses in rank, they take out more of his brain (kinda like MPs, really) and replace it with more indoctrination and "religious fervour".
This is the real reason people like Miranda Calgar has "eternal warrior". You can't head-killshot something that doesn't have a brain, just plot armour.

Yes! I got a CSM rhino, 1 empire cannon, 2 BFSP dwarf cannons, a vindicator (well, I probably will win it in a few hours time), and a complete sentinel (same), all for under £30!! (not including p+p)
So, all this:

It's going to take a while for me to get that outta my head. -- Lols-- Thank you. Automatically Appended Next Post: Aerethan wrote:So I'm perplexed at this little situation here. Who in the hell is in charge of making these decisions? Why is a single piece model that is 15 years old worth as much as 4 rather recent space marines?
$33 in finecast for 4 multi part models

I've wanted those for a while. First they became hard to find before I knew I wanted them. Then GW started selling them seperately for $13-14 a piece. This is a steal. I might get a box.
It sucks about that Blood Knight though. I think GW spikes the punch before they go into their meetings.

It does look like an eye, but I think those are supposed to be the 'service studs' given out for centuries not dying for the Emperor.

They are studs.
It is just the lighting and angle that gives the appearance of an eye (dark spot in centre with light on either side).

You're also not taking into account that the better a miniature/unit's rules seem to be the more you're gonna pay for them, by in large. Such is GW's view on things, if you wanna win, you have to pay through the nose.

there is probably some table they use that takes into account how much resin they use, the price of the mold to make them + overhead + manufacturing and shipping cost vs. the annual expected sales of the model (based on history or forecasts) vs. some expected time frame to break even.
It's called business and manufacturing.....

Not much different from every other publicly listed company.
That's how GW tries to increase sales by increasing the price.
I am not fond of Finecast anyway, resin is nice for show models, but play pieces should be more sturdier.
My GW budget has roughly stayed the same over the years, buying less and less new and more second hand and from other companies.
