That's a rather long stretch. Had you said that generals in Canada soundly defeated Americans in defense of their country that would be one thing. But British troops led by and English and Irish general by way of Bermuda. I think you meant to say the last time the US messed with the United Kingdom the White House burned and the Canadians sat at home and locked the door.
another fine example of the american public education system.

As Canada was still a loyal british colony, they were the british troops that torched the white house. They have quite a few parties planned to commemorate the bicentennial anniversary of the event

Apparently the Canadian education system is so overwhelming it cured you of ever needing to read or comprehend.
Generally when someone says "the last time x messed with y" they don't claim the deed of z. Or in this case generally one claims the deeds of THEIR OWN countrymen. Canada being short on such examples I can see why you so eagerly latch onto the coattails of British success. No, wait you are totally right. The last time Scotland messed with the US the Bonnie Prince Charlie was defeated and Scottish lords lost their right to hereditary jurisdiction. Don't think about it too hard you might hurt yourself.
Here's a summary of Canada's involvement in the war of 1812 FROM Canada. You'll carefully note the mention of the burning of Washington is one sentence long and credited (rightfully) to the British.
www.thecanadianencyclopedia.com/articles/war-of-1812 wrote:The war of 1812 was a military conflict between the United States and Great Britain. As a colony of Great Britain, Canada was swept up in the War of 1812 and was invaded a number of times by the Americans.
Those blithering idiots from the Historica Dominon Institute must have gone to school in that wacky American public education system; you know where they teach facts, and punctuation.

So basically we are all acknowledging that any offensive victories in the war of 1812 were accomplished by British troops and/or leaders, but some Canadians were involved, and Canada didn't get steamrolled by the Americans.... so yay? I don't get why anyone cares, I guess. Is there some debate about what would happen now a days based on this, or was it just some zingers that started getting over analyzed?

Except the only misplaced pride in this thread is from Canada? You posted links that shored up my point emphasizing Canada's role in the war, which is why I didn't bother asking how you figured "US blind pride" figured in. That is awesome beyond epicness.
"A Garou born from two Garou parents is called a Metis and is invariably deformed as a result of this inbreeding, as well as completely sterile; however, Metis have Gifts and advantages exclusive to their breed, including the ability to regenerate in all their various forms and a deeper understanding of Garou society owing to their pre-change life exclusively amongst the Garou. Vietnam was because Australia was thought to be DIRECTLY THREATENED. And afganistan. Well, we will go to war with people if the USA hangs a free trade agreement over our politician's heads. Also because We are nearer to Afganistan then most other countries (resupply and R&R). In fact, you guys owe us for making our country into a USA military camp now. Seriously though, if you look at the reasons why Aussies actually go to *war* it's either because of concessions granted to us, or because of our so-called *allies* who then tell us we are no longer needed.

Mullato's Italian, if I'm not mistaken. In French, the verb 'to interracially reproduce' is Métisser, 'Métis' is specific to North-American Native mixed people, and 'Mulâtre' is specific to darker skin mix. Mullato is equivalent to mulâtre.
The Patriot flag is the flag of those who wish for a Québec sovereign. I don't think it would be an appropriate comparison, we try to obtain our political objectives entirely within the scope of International law. Rising is silly when you can just argue slowly and live old and well.

I mean, if they didn't hit it with both the sterile and mutated barrels, the White Wolf version wouldn't be that bad, I mean they are more in touch with actually being werewolves and their gifts are arguably the best, but it does seem pretty gnarly to come at it the way they did.

It saddens me the way this thread is going. It was supposed to be about the southern border. If I'm being honest, I was looking forward to Frazz declaring he would raise a force of Texas regulars to sweep over the border
And finally, I don't want to see the USA and Canada engage in hostilities. When those two great nations combine, they give us John Candy, Dan Akroyd, Leslie Neilson, Ghostbusters, triple cheeseburgers etc etc. Give peace a chance. Think of the children...

Three times actually.

And finally, I don't want to see the USA and Canada engage in hostilities. When those two great nations combine, they give us John Candy, Dan Akroyd, Leslie Neilson, Ghostbusters, triple cheeseburgers etc etc. Give peace a chance. Think of the children...

I bet if mexico got invaded, the USA would send Australia to start the invasion again....like the second gulf war. Check the records. The SASR were in iraq approximately a week before the invasion launched. And yes....the vietcong didn't fear the USA. They HATED us Australians.

So you're saying if the US sent troops to Mexico, they would ask for Australia's help?

It just seems more likely that they may get used now.
the last time the US messed with canada they got their white house burned down
Wasn't White back then, they painted it White in order to hide the burn marks on the foundation ( IIRC)
Wasn't Canada back then either.
I still have my doubts about Canadian independence.
