I'm both selfish and rational. I'm scheming, secretive and manipulative; I use knowledge as a tool for personal gain, and in turn obtaining more knowledge. At best, I am mysterious and stealthy; at worst, I am distrustful and opportunistic.

It's an agent's dream. They're all 100% disposable and can be replaced at any time. If any of them get in a scandal or go all diva there's millions more where they came from.

The brand name matters not the individual 'talent'.

So like a latter-day Menudo, but female?

At least until they decide to push Vocaloids more, but then that's like selling the members of the band saying "they could sing" instead.

Doesn't get much more disposable than that.

The hell did I just watch?

I mean, the music is standard Japanese bubblegum pop: English lyrics involving the word "Love" in the chorus and an apparently nonsensical title (Hebi Roteshiun, IE, Heavy Rotation). Not that I'm some expert on Japanese pop music, but from the small sampling I've heard this seems to apply to nearly all of it.

The video though... All I can say is "Ah, Japan. Shine on, you crazy diamond!".

A bunch of cute little Japanese girls in lingerie, rolling around and doing things... lying in bed, having pillow fights, eating, kissing each other, going down on microphones... that sort of stuff. All to the tune of an overy up-beat and chipper song in Japanese with bits of the chorus in English.

I LOL'd... well played Corpse.

Now I'm even more sad I can't watch this...

I can just imagine what they said/giggled as they walked off stage: "Ooh, I can't wait to see what the Americans think of this! Desu."

Just looked up the group on Wikipedia...I don't see what all the fuss is about. I've seen western music videos far more suggestive than what was described there. Personally, I think the critics are being a bunch of prudes.
