Hmm, gives me a good idea for a conversion - a dedicated Skaven hunting unit draped in Skaven fur and trophies.

This has been a fun thread to read. 2 thumbs up.

I wish they would NOT do another war of chaos, but rather have 3-4 loci of war break out, allowing them to flesh out multiple areas and give information/details/new armies for each locus and so each established army would get something new.

I loved the old White Dwarves with lists (like Kislev) and I loved the old book where they made alternate lists like the Dark Elf slaaneshi list and the High Elf sea Guard list, etc.

Imagine if they did something along those lines (but better) without feeling like all forces needed to be involved in a single location (i.e. in the Empire as a force of order or destruction). What if there were 3-4 in one book, with each giving details about the armies you play, a local army list, etc.

So the New World could have a blow out on its western edges with druchii fighting lizarmen fighting fishmen (local force); Tilea could break out in a war involving skaven, bretonnia, wood elves, and Tileans (local); in the far east the Chaos Dwarves declare war on Cathay involving Chaos Dwarfs, Ogres, Orcs, and Cathay (local). Storm brewing in the Troll wastes involve the Empire, Vampire counts, dwarfs, and Kislev (local), etc.

I know I did not include everyone yet, but I think you get the idea, just thought everyone going to the Empire every time was a bit silly,

I want to see the dwarfs take back some land rather than being constantly driven back. It seems like the dwarfs idea of a win consists of not being massacered.

"Oh Skaven invasion? We will lose 80% of our hold, then drive them out, and call it a win!" Then for a species that lives hundreds of years we will each only have 1 - 2 offspring most of which die and wonder why we are in a decline.

I'd like to see something like game of thrones. Have two main warring factions, most likely empire and chaos. Then have loads of other wars going on

I would have previously said anything to do with Marienburg, simply for the hilarity that they seem to bring... but the Tamurkhan book seemed to tide me over in that regard, especially with the fluff behind the giant Walmart Wagons.

I'd love to see something completely catastrophic though... such as the awakening of Kalgalanos the Black and Krakanrok the Black. Although that would quite literally mean the nearing end of the world, so I doubt such a thing would happen

I would love to see the good guys win something back that's been lost (mostly dwarves) or for the Wood Elves to actualkly become part of the storyline (right now some good Dwarven Spirits and a match in the right spot could potentially wipe all of them out). Mainly I would like to see someone other than Empire take the spotlight for a bit. It'd be cool if Bretonnians became a bit nobler (I know it's supposed to mirror medieval practices, but it is a fantasy-medieval game, it would be nice to have them be real good guys, not stuck up bastards pretending to be better than the orcs they kill but are as morally defunct as any enemy referred to as "evil" in this world) Just someone to really root for, or hate and want to kill if you're an evil army.

I think they've gone a bit overboard in making everyone darker, personally. But that might be just me. Also, I'd like beastmen, like woodelves, to become more than an annoying side note in the fluff. They are rarely, if ever, the big baddies, they are always the henchmen or the other bad guy army. It would be cool if they brought out another narrative campaign like Storm of Chaos but less to do with chaos and more to do with the different alignments being sent against one another.

All out free for all, that's what we need! More bloodshed all around!

Dwarves should definitly win something. Maybe if they won back one of their ancient Strongholds and built it stronger then ever.

Maybe a war with the Chaos Dwarves.

Cathey needs to come in as a player. Its high time they had an Army Book.

For Ogres, Greasus needs to get deposed. He can barely move and fight, something that any ogre wouldn't last long with. Some new Overtyrant needs to rise up and eat his fat butt.

Self-proclaimed evil Cat-person. Dues Ex Felines

Cato Sicarius, after force feeding Captain Ventris a copy of the Codex Astartes for having the audacity to play Deathwatch, chokes to death on his own D-baggery after finding Calgar assembling his new Eldar army.

Like to see Chaos take a bit of a different approach instead of just invading the Empire all the time, possibly just toning them down a bit in the fluff.

I think a religious civil war tearing apart the Empire would be phenomenal, Myrmidians in the South, Sigmarites in the middle and the old dying out cult of Ulric in the North.
Would love to see Chaos Dwarfs wreak their vengeance on the Dwarfs, thus preventing the Dwarfs from intervening in the Empire.

One of the major changes I'd like to see is Teclis defeating Malekith only to be seduced by Morathi and become a new Witch King, and for the Dark Elves to be on the front foot in their war for once. Lizardmen could possibly intervene to help preserve the stability of the magical energy of Ulthuan, while some High Elves head east to re-colonise the Old World, bringing them into conflict with WE, Empire civil war, Bretonnia etc.,

You had better be joking about that Teclis bit. If not even the Wrath of Asuryan could kill Malekith (and it's had two chances to do so) then I don't see some crippled Elf with a fancy staff doing it, especially considering that Malekith has around four to five thousand years of experience in the Magical arts, being taught by arguably one of the most powerful magic users in the whole world, over said Elf.

And lets face it. The High Elves are going to continue to do what they always do, feth all. Malekith was the only one of them with any real vision, he pretty much built their whole Empire in the Old World, was instrumental in building a solid alliance with the Dwarves (later ruined by an arrogant, idiotic High Elf) and then suppressed the Cults of Pleasure in Ulthuan when no-one else could (the first cults of pleasure were entirely Morathis doing and Malekith put a stop to that until he decided to go after the Phoenix Throne later).

The Laws of Thermodynamics:
1) You cannot win. 2) You cannot break even. 3) You cannot stop playing the game.

Wow, is that still canon? Because yes, that was extremely stupid and the 8E book let me to believe it had been quietly dropped. Goat-people? Okay. Lizard people? Yes, their existence is common knowledge, despite their living thousands of miles away. Rat people? Whoah, hold on just a minute there, you're being unscientific!

I suppose the implication is that the Skaven are covering up their existence somehow? But they must have the same guys who covered up the giant city-destroying robots in Transformers 2, to go around after every battle and clear out those hundreds of rat-man corpses, broken rat-powered weapons, and use a rat-powered amnesia ray on the entire enemy army, which will sometimes include the theological and political leaders of the Empire. Not to mention the Dwarfs who regularly fight Skaven and are pretty good buddies with the Empire might let them know about the whole "rat-man armies" thing at some point?

I know right, it seems odd that not a singe dwarf with there constants grumblings never once grumbled to an empire citizen "oh yeah those rat things that you say drag off people in the night, yeah those are real, but hold on a second im fighting one of those tiny green creatures that eats magical mushrooms that gives them super strength and or magical powers, oh and they spin" It simply seems like a lazy writing device to allow the Skaven to do damage of WAAAAAAAGGHHHHH like proportions but then never get blamed for it, THEY LEVELED NULN FOR FETHS SAKE, Gorbad IronClaw leveled Nuln too and hes remembered and forever. But the Skaven do it and apparently the empire state troops fought with their eyes closed that day., then ignored any and all bodies they found .

What would have made a lot more sense would be for the Empire to consider Skaven to simply be a breed of Beastman--so they exist, but are regarded as uncivilised brutes who are scary in numbers, but lack organisation. Talking about an "under-empire", a secret council of Skaven who plan to conquer the world or Skaven who sneak around and assassinate people, that's the crazy talk.

*bursts though room with axe* HEEEAAARRRS JHONNY!!!

What would I like to see?

Simple: the return of Nagash, it has been hinted quite a bit in the new codex that Nagash can and will return and it even says in the new TK book in Arkhan the black's entry that he will return and the TK shall be destroyed (which isn't fair for TK players I will admit after all who want to play a race so proud and cool but will die at the end).

Aside from that I want to see more of the undead and TK slowly expanding and re-taking the world that was once theirs and also see what is up next for Manfred on his next phase of his scheme...

I would like to see WEs loose the "god guy/elf" image they seem to have. This is a race of folk who would butcher an orphanage full of babies if they felt they were to close to there beloved forest (I have a theory WEs are in fact growing vast fields of hemp as growers tend to be territorial folk)

The army book also mentions that they tend to be very spiteful and vicious even to there own kind and often fight among them selves, I would to see this "dark side" explored more.

Damn I cant wait to the GW legal team codex comes out now there is a dex that will conquer all.
