I don't think I've ever seen a movie get good reviews that I was actually even remotely interested in seeing.

The people who review movies are out of touch with what people want to see these days.

Reviews for Avengers were quite good. Avengers is the best selling movie in years. Same for Madagascar, Prometheus (more mixed) Chronicle and 21 Jump Street.

John Carter, Wrath of the Titans, Dark Shadows, and Battleship were panned and have done poorly.

I didnt like chronicle, That movie was an insult. It wasnt found footage, it was happening in realt time, you just saw it from the POV of a camera. Ticked me off
Also i might go see this movie, Just because it has vampires.

If it gets good reviews then yes I will go see it. Tickets are too expensive to go otherwise.

Battleship made 100 mil over it's budget, and Wrath made 150 mill more than it's budget, and Dark Shadows has made 70 mil more than it's budget. I believe those are considered successes, to a degree.

The Evening Standard has given it 3/5 and says it's a pretty good summer action flick.

They said it flags towards the end until the final battle.

Probably worth seeing if you're into that kind of film. I would go and see it if I were single, but it's harder to find the time when you have a family and I know the wife would hate it.

There were some laugh out loud moments of "Really? Did that really just happen?"

Go see this with 10 of your best friends! Wait, this is Dakka. Go see this with the 3 or 4 people you know that put up with you for long enough to watch a movie!

Wendy and I agreed: Horrible movie, but most fun we've had watching a movie in a long time!

Taking my brother to go see it Sunday for his birthday. I do so with some trepidation, but I really am not expecting to much so if it generally keeps my attention for an hour and a half I will be happy.
