Stepping out of the Vault for the first time in Fallout 3.

After you steal a drug stash in GTA IV: The Ballad of Gay Tony. It's just so awesome to race down the street while Armando and Henrique snap shots at pursuing cars full of baddies.

Beating Lavos in Chrono trigger, epic is epic!

Saving all your family members and finding all the hidden treasures, marrying the hot daughter AND getting to be earning enough gold/land/rep to retire as a Governor in Sid Myers "Pirates" (on the Amiga 500.)

or

Hitting your opponent's nuclear stockpile with a 100 megaton bomb and destroying the planet in Nuclear War (also on Amiga 500.)

Surprised nobody mentioned the scene in Halo 2 where the CHief puts the bomb on the covenant cruiser. The music in that scene made it 10X more epic.

1) The end scene in Super Mario Brothers when I realized the princess was not in another castle!

I second the Halo 2 Giving the Covenant back their bomb scene from Halo 2, but I'd be damned if that game wasn't full of epic moments. I also like the 'Tank Beats Everything!' bit during Halo 3, just too epic for words, just laughs as you shoot all that which has been indestructible before now.

The first time in TF2 I heard 'CRY SOME MOAR!'

Chrono trigger- frog fights magus solo OR magus joins you
Dragon warrior 1- finding erdricks sword and armor, and killing the dragon to rescue the princess.
Megaman 2- first dr. Wily stage. Epic music!
Megaman x 1- zero kills viles suit to save you
Dawn of war 1- tracking down and finally confronting isador
Starcraft- tassadar destroys the over mind.
