I think I might have to say that my favorite/most intense moment in all of video games is in Bioshock where you finally meet and kill Andrew Ryan.

Write down what your favorite(s) are, would you kindly

Halo 2, meeting the Gravemind.

Sacrifice, Mithras revealing he was Marduk the entire time.

Summoner, you think you just beat the game, and BAM your hand gets sliced off, you lose all the rings and get thrown into prison on a different continent.

Decide? Did you not have the paragon option to save both?

Now I thought the argument between me and Mordin in ME3 was awsome (I kept the sabotage quite and than shot Moridin after he found out), especially when Garrus talks to you about it after Wrex is killed by Bailey/you

Personally, I loved the end of Call of Duty World at War. I cant think of anything else right now but ill come back to it.

Talking to the reapers in the Mass Effect games. Coolest dialogues in a game IMO.

I know this might be heresy, but I'm going with the plot of the Undead (Scourge and Forsaken) and Thrall from Warcraft 3 to all the way to Frozen Throne. It's a massively epic story like Lord of the Rings and highly unappreciated for how well they told it through an MMO that has dozens of other stories.

Losing all my men during a base assault in X-COM: Enemy Unknown, and having the last guy win the mission for me.
That was fething intense.

I found that pretty epic, shame they did't do much with it :/

Same as Mass Effect 3, I stopped a cycle that happens every 50,000 years, shame it was just handled horribly in some cases.

When the rich rage war it's the poor who die

Armies I have: Chaos Space Marines, Tau, Necrons, High Elves

Armies I want:Lizardmen, Warriors Of Chaos, Dark Eldar

Armies I may get: Dark Angels, Tomb Kings, Vampire Counts

You plant the Russian flag over Berlin. Much better than CoD1 where you escorted someone else to go do it.

Speaking of, that mission was one of my favorites growing up. The Kommissars shooting you if you did not advance was a nice touch.

What?

Do you mean through an RTS?

Warcraft 3 and the Frozen Throne was not a massive multiplayer online game

No spoiler here...

Mine would be, in any of the Total War series games, when your army is up against a larger force and you end up routing the enemy (after a well placed artillery strike on their general's unit and the use of good tactics to drop the infantry's numbers from afar)..... and while they are running away you send your cavalry from the high ground flank and sweep them for maximum casualties...

Always satisfying...

Punching the crap out of Satan in Castlevania, Lord's of Shadow. Seriously, you punch him hard enough in the face to leave a dent in the floor.

The final boss of Dead Space. It's hanging you by your foot and you have to try to shoot it's mouth and ribcage while it's shaking you, pulling you closer so it can eat you.

Splatterhouse 2010, when you rip off a chainsaw hand from a monster, pick him up off the floor with hit, and then spend the next five minutes cutting him to peices.

Fighting Darksouls first Sub Boss, the Taurus Demon. Your on a pathway only large enough for him to stand on (You have to roll under his arms to get by him), and if you mistep he insta-kills you by punting you off the side of the wall. If you don't cop out the fight, it's fething intense.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

A couple from Crysis 2:

Jumping from the top of the building on Wall Street and landing on the glass plane, just like the intro.
The end game, crawling to the edge of the alien spire, and then getting back up and saying. "they call me Prophet" LIKE A BOSS

Inadvertently killing the Quarians in ME3

The final boss fight in Metroid prime hunters.

I like to imagine the Emperor kills so many Orks that he ends up half buried beneath a pile of corpses, with only his head sticking out. A lone grot stumbles across him, and starts choking him.

Then Horus comes across the lone grot, somehow managing to kill the Emperor, and punts it into space.

I liked the Mass Effect Games as already stated here, but other favorites

Fall Out 2 - where you have to decide to sacrifice yourself to give the people clean water

Jedi Academy (I think it was called) - where you either decide to be good or go to the dark side, both endings are cool...

Armies
Eldar, Dark Eldar, Harlequins, Eldar Corsairs, Orks, Tyranids, Genestealer Cult, Chaos, Choas Space Marines, Tau, Sisters of Battle, Inquisition, Necrons, Space Marines, Space Wolves, Grey Knights, Imperial Knights, Dark Angels, Imperial Guard, Ad Mech, Knights, Skaven, Sylvaneth

I have a few:

Mass Effect 2: The Suicide Mission, from beginning to end is just a piece of perfection.

Fallout 3: Leaving the vault for the first time. No radio is on so you just get the real soft ambient music as your eyes adjust to the glare and the Capital Wasteland slowly comes out of the glare.

Shadow of the Colossus: The final colossus battle, that music...oh jeez.

Okami: The battle with Ninetails.

Tough one this. So much greatness in 20+ years of gaming. Some of my favourite moments include Thunderforce IV, after finally spanking the first 4 worlds and thinking you've beaten it, BLAMMO, have another equally impossible 4 levels sir!

Or the first time I played Diablo, releasing a fireball with Mordacai, my wizard, for the first time..

The impossibly long gaming sessions I had playing X-Wing vs Tie Fighter, me piloting and a mate 'R2ing' for me..

Booting up an Xbox 360 for the first time and playing Perfect Dark. And damn near wetting myself at the lush graphics and sounds..

I also thought Summoner for the PS2 had a really good twist, and wasn't half bad for an RPG of the times.

I thought I was about to beat the game, and instead I got my hand burned the gak off.

on the forum. Obviously

There was this time in Blacklight retribution, where I threw a grenade over that crashed plane on one of the levels, and it exploded just as it landed on some guy.
I wasn't even aiming xD

In fact, I had some pretty crazy grenade throws in that game.

Oh, and the ending to The Darkness II was pretty nice as well.
