Would you mind explaining this? I don't get it, all jump infantry units have that special rule?
Can a necron lord fight in a CC while being in side of a CCB? If so will the enemyes hit the lord or the CCB?

Yes. Cheesedread is almost useless vs Necrons now as our Gauss Overwatch is very likely to destroy it at charge...which is downright awesome!
Imagine that huge, bloody, screaming robot charging our Troops just to blow up in a huge explosion in return.
Like a baus.

So you start a few of your troops disembarked... You want Solar Pulses on the board anyway.
Praxiss wrote:The only thing in the Necron dex that didn't get a huge boost is Tesla...which was awesome already.
I think Tesla definitely got better. Snap-firing only hits on 6's...and Tesla does what when you roll a 6? Now an Annihilation Barge can move 12" and get an average 3 S7 hits, or do the same Stunned, or firing at a Flyer. And that's not counting the underslung gun either (which should really always be a Tesla Cannon as of 6th, IMO). Tesla Carbines will also be nasty for Overwatch
And AP- no longer affects the Vehicle damage chart!

had that exact thgin happen to me the other day. BA dread charged my warriro squad, i managed to wreck it using overwatch Gauss fire.
@Kakka - yes, all Jump troops have the hammer of Wrath, and so does the CCB now (as it's a Chariot) - but it gets D6 S6 I10 attacks. The Lord can charge into combat while still being on the CCB, the only difference is that the CCB gives him +1 to his armour save (so dont bother with the Weave for barge lords anymore). You might see more people splashing out for the Phase Shifter now since your Barge lord will be seeing a lot of combat.
If you're lucky, your opponent will charge you first and you'll survive....next turn you Sweep the unit 12", shoot with the CCBs gun, charge in (getting your D6 S6 attacks), MSS, then smack them with a scythe. So far this has accounted for a full 10 man Tactical squad and a squad of Sanguinary guard for my barge.

True, but with the amount of fire we can put out we have a half decent chance of takgin them out.
Anni barges shoudl be pretty handy for anti-air duty. Even rolling 6's to hit you are liekly to get a couple of hits (wth every 6 giving you 2 extar hits) - it's very rare when i dont roll any 6's from my Barges. 5's to pen on most Flyers (Storm Ravens are going to make things interesting with AV12, might have to wait until they Hover and then lay into them Heavy Destroyers)
Also, has there been a confirmation on if Sweep attacks from the CCB can kill a Flyer/ I rralise its a long shot now that they can only sweep 12" but you never know....

The free I10 attack will be nice, but seeing as you only get it if you use your jump pack in the assault phase its going to be limited.
You will have to choose between using the jump pack in the movement phase giving you 12" and a normal 2d6 assault with NO I10 attacks, or use a 6" movement and use your jump pack to reroll your 2d6 charge and then get the I10 attacks.
Seems risky to chance failing to a charge just to get 1x I10 ap- attack per model.

Does the Hammer of Wrath rule come into play if you charge against vehicles as well?
Would be nice to charge in with a CCB, smack the rear armour of a tank with D6 S6 attacks, and THEN lay into it with a Warcythe as well. At least until they make it clear who can take those Flakk missiles in the rulebook.

Necrons counter flyers fine IMO, their own flyers are a good start and a warrior brick especially in RF can do some damage given that most flyers seem to have very few hull points. Some of the allies options are pretty interesting, managed to get my wraiths into a first turn assault with a lash of submission. Had a gutsy bit of luck using obyron and some death marks w/ despair crypteks to drop in right next to a big pile of terminators that zandreks nightscythe pulled up next to. It seems Anny can mind in the machine off the back of barge again.

Shhhhh!
<backs away from inevitable arguement>
NOTE: Forge World have just put up soem 6th Ed updates of their own. The main thigns that affect Necrons:
**1 Structure Point = 3 Hull Points
**Entropic Strike only eats Super Heavy armour on a 6 rather than a 4
**Psyker powers that do not have a Strength value have no effect on Super Heavies (i'm guessing this includes Anrakyrs power)

I think it's been FAQ'd that Daemon princes with wings aren't "proper" Flying MCs...weird.
Be warned if you're paying Dreads and Preds, they are just as fragiel as everythgin else to a necron army now, just more armour to melt with gauss fire.
It's especially funny to gauss-wreck a Dread with Overwatch as it charges a Warrior sqaud.

The best choice is using the box to make Crypteks.
The second best choice are Praetorians as they got a significant buff in 6th. They still need a Destroyer Lord to be good and are still less effective than Wraiths.
LG remain bad.

Only one grenade may be tossed per unit, so keep an eye on your grenade tossing opponents. I misread this the first time I tried to use grenades. Deep struck my Swooping Hawks in front of an Annihilation Barge.... was going to throw 6 haywires grenades, re-read the rules... got to toss one. Instead of a destroyed Annihhilation Barge... I got a destroyed Swooping Hawk unit. lol

Tesla got huge boost in for following reasons:
1) AP- is just as good as AP3 against vehicles now. Main disadvantage of Tesla gone.
2) 3x effectiviness compared to normal weapons during Snapfire:
- Overwatch (even though vehicles don't get it)
- Shooting at enemy flyers
- Firing from moving vehicles
- Firing from Evading flyers

well, good luck to you.
For the rest of us that were hoping they might make a change that might actually make FOs viable (rending, some errata that let them assault after deep striking, etc.), we continue to be underwhelmed.
