Two units of Flamers deep strike in, the second scatters on top of the first and dies. Had a similar accident with a Bloodthirster and a unit of Bloodletters.

Accident? Yeah, sure. Heh heh. Totally by accident. Right after they accidentally failed a crucial morale check.

I'm not really a Space Marine player. But the first time I used a Librarian I used the Vortex of Doom power and rolled perils. Failed my Invul. save, insta-killed myself and two of my own Terminators for good measure.

Only with Khârn.

Marbo seems the biggest reason of exploding guardsmen. Quite a few times, he eagerly throws his democharge and has it go over the target and landing in my own troops. Sometimes, when Marbo is sad, he instead just blows himself up with the democharge instead of the enemy.

Actually, no. It's really astounding, what with my terrible dice rolls (have your Ravagers missed a Fortification for 3 whole game turns?), I manage to not place my blasts in the vicinity of friendlies.

Though I am very curious as to how you accidentally Death Ray your own troops.

Other than Plasma burns and Deep Strike mishaps, no. I actually had very few template weapons in my Space Marine army.

Now, in WHFB... well, Skaven. 'Nuff said, I think.

When I played Orks, I ran 3 looted wagons w/ Boom guns, Each one scattered onto my Trukks carrying 12ea, They exploded killing 7-9 boys in each trukk making my boys run away. I loved that game xD

I haven't, but I don't think I've ever used something that scatters. My friends, on the other hand... Kharn has decapitated Ahriman on one occasion, and one guy took out his ally's LR with a basilisk (he had it coming though, he had it behind a fence that was knee-high and claiming a cover save).

Well, the last tournament I went to, over six games;
a) Tigurius wounded himself in 3 games with perils.
b) His Epistolary buddy wounded himself in 2 games, and blew himself up with perils in 3 games.

That set a new record at the tourny! (they're starting to call me the 'master of disaster!')



My best moment of all time though was nuking my IG drop troops' entire flank when I caused a 6" blast from a penitent engine my priest had just sliced in half with his eviscerator... Killed my Heroic Senior Officer, company standard, medic, vox-guy, 9 guardsmen across 2 infantry squads, the Junior Officer, his entire command squad AND the offending Priest!

What made it all the more epic was having Phil Kelly standing over my shoulder watching the entire disaster unfold, and then I went on to lose the game by 1 model. Seems I still haven't quite gotten the hang of his friendly advice yet however...

Not really, personally. But I did have a terminator spell his own death once... He had an assault cannon, was on his own, and facing a warboss with one wound left.
Rolled my 4 to-hits.
Statistically, I should have won this gun fight, but my terminator must have had other ideas and fired into the air like an ork, because he promptly rolled four 1's !!

I was an inch out of assault range that turn, and the boss got the charge. Only one of his attacks got past my invulnerable save... The extra one for charging...

Of course I've killed some of my own models before. I play Imperial Guard; we kill our men as a morale boost!

What as in stand on them, accidentally knock them off the table? Deep striking my terminators, has probably resulted in me killing more of my own Terminators than by enemy fire. Equally Scout bikers, doing dangerous terrain tests, or Get's Hot results on Plasma Guns. In fairness I have probably killed alot of my unintentionally and through bad luck.

Had a friend playing gaurd who had a PCS in a chimera, all with plasma. They fired from the hatch, three died from gets hot! and they failed moral inside chimera. Game implodes.

Huge gap in the rules there.

I've always wanted to see someone use inquisitor karamazov in conjunction with one-man paladin units though.

one game i took 2 SAG ... shooty orks 45 lootas 2 sag big meks the big meks attaches to gretchin... rolled snake eyes for both sag's turn 1 and got enough lootas that they all had to take leadership teast which both failed... everythign ran off the board top of turn one me going firs tmy opponent was quite amused won a batle without firing a shot

2 plasma cannons shots from my exterminator wrecking another one and destroying the third x.x the problem was it was immobilised and they were the only weapons left x)

My Chaos dread decided to turn around and blew up my rhino (full of khorne bezerkers and chaos lord) on turn 1 with its lascannon. Bezerkers got cut down before my lord single handedly took out 2 squads in combat and died making a desperate charge out of cover at the enemy farseer (losing a wound before reaching and cutting down the farseer as the farseer took the lords last wound.

That being said. I play IG most IG players have killed our own vehicles. I once threw a detpack from a vendetta and had it scatter back and kill it and most of the squad.

I've had that same thing happen, and I can't help but laugh at the absurdity of it. Frankly, I'd panic if a bunch of my buddies in a very small confined space started exploding, but 6th ed clearly states that units inside transports are Fearless. Good we got some clarification after that silly scenario in editions past!

Teammate blew up my raider with a basilisk shall. I proceeded to slaughter both my teammates, and the game ended in complete confusion a turn later.

Does that count?

My basilisk used to do it all the time.

It was named "drop short" for a reason. Shoot at enemy vehicle, miss and scatter back onto one of my units, out of cover (and their vehicle, which took a direct hit). Kill 7 out of 10 troops with blast, blow up vehicle and kill the rest.

I no longer play guard (I no longer play 40k, either. I now play games that represent artillery as "off-table" assets, like they should be).

My best mate had a full drop pod of sternguard vets with Pedro scatter right off the board on his first roll. I've never laughed so much in my life! Until in the next battle he exploded a full unit of Tyranid warriors with a single battlecannon round...as he rolled around on the floor crying with amusement I had to conceed that I probably deserved it....

I once blew up my Leman Russ Demolisher with its own gun. Targeted a unit like 6" away, scattered right on top of my tank, 6 to penetrate, 6 on the damage chart, killed about 4 veterans in the explosion.

I once mutilated my only metal Grey Knight Terminator last year, in a fit of rage and under the lack of sleep... I ended up regretting it a couple of weeks later.

But, I guess that's not really what this thread is about. So I guess I'd have to answer that the last time I killed one of my own models in a game, was when I took a Big Mek with Shokk Attack Gun. Rolled a 1,1 in his first game. Fortunately, no one else was nearby.

That doesn't count plasma weapon overheats, though. Too many of my Sister Superiors have died from those. Far too many...

As any Ork player knows, melting your own troops with the SAK even in the finals of a tournament is a fail you wish for.

Bubble wrapped a leman russ, rocket takes it out, and then blows up killing my squad. On a related point it feels really wierd when your eye twitches in irritation and you are laughing from complete amusement.

Took Dante, Mephiston, and two Honour guard squads loaded with plasma rifles in a team game, with two 5 man units of tac marines as troops. The idea was to drop in behind the enemy, and unload some hot plasma right into them.

Come down turn two, and both honour guard squads eliminate themselves in one round of shooting. Mephiston's plasma pistol manages to blow up in his face, and he too fails his save. He also perils trying to fly.

By time I got to the assault phase of turn 2, Mephiston had 1 wound left, Dante was standing alone with a Sanguinary novitiate (and even Dante managed to miss with his infernus pistol!), a lone novitiate from the second honour guard squad was also alone in the corner, and I had two tac squads hiding in the back of the map.

My teammate was not impressed.

I stepped on a scout once in bare feet.

We did a number on each other really...
