That wouldn't settle anything either.

I just tested it 10 times with 20 GKSS and 10 terminators, screw mathhammer. The Terminators beat the PA GKs 6-4 times in the test. Proving that Terminators win in my playtest.

What I mean't by screw mathhanner was I mean't screw just using a calculator and playtest it and record it instead with 10 trials.

And no, the argument was if a footslogging GKSS would be better over a Terminator list in shooting. I've played games with this list against guard, blood angels and orks. The whole test was to see what GK list setup was better.

*facepalm* That's not what your test was. Your test was which was better against the other (I wouldn't call it conclusive either btw). Run another test, with two arms, one with 20 GKSS against 30 orks, one with 10 GKTs against 30 orks. See which option works better. Then repeat against other enemy units.


Or just look at the numbers and realize GKSS are better in shooting by a good amount.

Alright, I agree with you they have more shots, but the reason that the terminators won 6 out of 10 tests was because they had a 2+ save. Thats the only reason. I have played my GKSS against orks before, kill about 15 orks from 10 PA GKs. The Terminators killed about 9. I play my friend a lot who plays orks.

Terminators have a 2+ save, but there are half as many as them, and they have half as many shots. It's basically a wash.

GKSS versus 3+ saves or worse are going to kill things a good amount faster with their shooting than the GKT would

Ahhh, I see now.

I just like Terminators more than PA GKs to be honest. I also don't have 40 of them I have 20 of them lol. I oddly have 35 Terminators though.

Played a game with this army list a few days ago against an all ork biker list. There was one model left on table after the whole game..One heroic dreadnought..win

You're saying that your army is weak against flyers, and choosing to take half as many shots?
Heavy 4 or Assault 2.
I'll take heavy 4, move, snap shot, and gun down those fliers.

Look at firepower in context of 6th edtion. You get some decent free shooting in that needs 6's to hit. Having twice as many shots means twice as many hits.

Having more psycannon shots is more essential against tanks and flyers. For example, one squad in the 1st turn fired 8 shots exploding a Vindicator, In that same turn another terminator squad fired 8 shots taking a weapon off and immobilizing a Razorback. Insta killing with those psycannons won me the game. In the 5th turn I have my last full strength terminator squad left, there was a 10 man assault squad on a objective in the open, blasted the whole squad off the table. I was in the lead by then there was a storm raven left which has been roaming the table for 3 turns. I had no more real threats left, Had some fun spaming all my psycannon shots at it with 2 dreadnoughts and Terminator.

If I choose to bring Strike Squads, I would have lost. I would have been chopped into pieces by my friends Death Company and Sanguinary Guard. They would have rampaged my army. Having those 2+ saves really did the trick against those pesky power weapons.
