Fair comment, the vehicles do outshine my suits... which I'll be rectifying in future... just need to work some of the carbon effect into the suits in places (but not to the same extent).. just to tie everything together a bit more and make it a bit more cohesive.

Hopefully the new dex when it finally hits will inspire some more additions to the army !

The aqua color on the armour is cool. and the camo splotches on the vehicles is a nice touch.

WAAAGH!!!

The gaps in the disruption pod fields (camo splotches) gave me the biggest headache with the army... when I first removed the frisket masks I didn't have the light blue outlines around them, and the effect was really jarring.. and I thought I'd blown the entire scheme... with little to no time to start again before the gaming event I was attending..

Some rather hastily thought out, and nerve wrecking airbrush work later I added the glow around the edges of the green areas, I managed to turn it around and was happy with the scheme, as it reflected the effect I had in mind... but yeah... nerve wracking at the time!

Excellent work. I will however agree with Kal-El that you seemed to have given a lot more attention to the vehicles than the rest of the army. Still, great work indeed. Especially love the grid effect.

So refreshing to see ORANGE OSL. I get a little tired of the ice blue everywhere.
You have taken some risks with this scheme and really raised the bar. Your hex pattern may take the hobby in new directions.
Thanks for sharing.

To be fair I took a lot of inspiration from http://thirdfatecreations.com/ the stuff on their really blew me away and that guy really knows his stuff.

Cheers for all the comments... I am planning on revisiting my suits and warriors again in future and raise the bar with them, so that the sole focus of the army isn't just the vehicles.

The weapons I bought from Paulson games, they carry a wide range of decent alternate weapons which fit with the Tau, totally recommend them!

A Japanese inland ship.

They were really prevalent during the 1600's.

Tau really seems very japanese to me, so I thought that's what you were talking about when you named them.

I'm a big fan of the japenese influence to the Tau.. but I totally missed out the reference there... I got the name originally from a character I played years ago with some mates in a RPG.. nice to see it actually had a japenese connection after all !

The tables, I can't claim to be my own... I was down TableTop Nation in Hockley (I do a few videos with BoW on occasion, currently presenting their Tau week set of videos..) so thought I'd grab a few games and get some pictures of my stuff out on the tables there.. any chance to get some decent pictures !
