Wow. That's a LOT of very large bugs, almost all of whom died very quickly. Good to see that the Harridan is suddenly so viable - it's a huge weakness of D-weapons, that they can't hit flyers at all. Need more Flyrants! With Smash, they actually have a decent chance of doing some damage in a round of combat.

We've been preparing for this Apoc battle since our last tyranid-imperial battle almost 1 year ago. Unfortunately, we kind of got into an arms race and have been stockpiling on our big guys. Well, I can assure you that that is over, at least for me. I've got more than enough big bugs for many more apoc battles to come. As a matter of fact, I'm probably going to have to get rid of some of my big bugs in the near future.

We had a total of 6 flyrants - 4 for me and 2 for my partner. I hastily converted 3 flyrants just the night before for this battle. I think 6 flyrants is good enough.

Wooooooah, absolutely loved it.
Totally amazing

Agree with Jan, good to see the Harridan doing well, always loved the model and idea of it.

Yeah, I thought we were done for after the first 2 turns of Imperial shooting.

Thanks to Harry the Harridan for saving the day. That guy's a beast in Apoc. In 2 games now, he was responsible for the destruction of a Warlord Titan, a Reaver Titan and a Warhound Titan as well as various Imperial and Tyranid collateral damage.

Thanks!

Yeah, thought it was going to be a lost cause but the bugs were able to fight their way back to make it a respectable game. That much D-weapons is a scary thing for the bugs, especially if they don't get 1st turn to cast their psychic powers.

Can we watch the dates of the threads in which we post please people.

This thread is quite old now really, and generally we prefer people not to "necro" threads back for very little reason.

Thanks.
