The heads will fit ok on a standard FW body with a little trimming. In fact, they fit better on a FW than on those bodies up there (one of the reasons I saved the bodies for GK henchmen conversions).

They aren't bad, but I agree that the massive breast size is a bit out of sync. Should probably shoot for a more "banshee" cup size if that makes any sense. Gotta remember these girls are athletes and warriors, not Play-Tau centerfolds. Another quick suggestion, instead of going for the "armored-bra" look, take the existing Tau armor and angle it out a bit. Just give them enough room to fit and breathe. Picture how females look in modern day armor.

Also, why so many people complaining about crop-tops? Look at the banshee models; they are also crop top. I also don't hear anyone complaining about how the Sisters of Battle wear corset-armor.

What's a crop-top? There is an entire thread about the Sisters corset armour.

We used to call those belly shirts. A crop-top was Val Kilmers haircut in Top Gun.

your're uhh.......your're new here right?

I kinda like the idea of using banshee armour for female tau armour providing you turn the curves into edges it could work quite well

Everyone is free to only use the heads without the torsoes. The heads are on the market for more than a year, the torsoes are a recent addition.

I really don't mind the torsos, but a whole army of them would get tiring. Putting a few with the female heads/torsos in a largish unit of Fire Warriors would look fine and give the unit some much needed visual variety.

My biggest beef with the torsos is the bare midriff, and not because it's a bare midriff. It completely kills the design of the fatigues worn under the armour, and makes the arms with their bulky sleeves look out of place.

Ever since my friend got rid of his Tau I've been considering them, but I want to wait and see what GW do with the new Battlesuits.

Is there a reason why so many people feel the need to get so negative about feminine models being made so obviously feminine? Is the game so serious that your warrior ladies should look like dykes? These girls ain't bad for fish-wives lol.

oh didn't you know? the land of man dollies is serious business, where everything has to be as realistic as possible.that includes mushroom men, cow men, bug dinosaurs and space marines.

sarcasm aside, I wish I knew :/ I think it really does have something to do with realism but it's just a concept I cant seem to grasp

It not about realism, it's about a lot of people being tired of sexism. It's about miniature wargaming being extremely male-dominated and converting gigantic boobs on Tau isn't helping. Or calling small-chested women for dykes.

Sexism works both ways. Having an army of beefcake bodybuilders in tank tops can be seen as sexist towards men.

I mean, people yell 'sexist' when someone makes a third party Tau torso with boob armour, yet everyone drools over the old metal daemonettes with 6 boobs.

People draw strange lines when it comes to female wargaming figs.

This may seem a silly question, but when are we going to see pics. The weekend is done and dusted, starting to lose hope that we'll see conversions, and this'll just turn into a thread about if female tau are sexist or what have you

I wish I had time for all the game systems I own, let alone want to own...

OK, to settle all this THERE WILL BE NO BOOBS!!!

I should of been more clear, the idea i had was to have a army geared more shadow sun like. I figure every army has a specialist sect so why not Tau. funny you say zealot thats what i used & am going to TRY to have them set in more subtle poses.

The fluff behind the army will a mix of Black op, stealthy, amazonian feel.

The kroot not to much could do but have plans for a shaper that will have evolved/female (i hope) look. That way the fluff will fall that the (female) shaper picked only the strongest from her race.

I am hoping to keep it more subtle than just a load of female warriors but for people to go "OH" that isn't like the usual tau i play? and for it to feel as if the whole army was hand picked by shadow sun herself.

Tell you what i didn't expect it to gt this much attention. just wanted to share a idea?

Pics are taken but issue with uploads so hope be online later today or in the week.

UNfortunately you had picked a charged title that was bound to work a few up.

The rest of us still want pics. Try Imgur for uploading.

so....big boobs are sexist? an all female army is sexist?......

looks like I'm gonna have to get rid of my sisters of battle :/

as for the op, really cant wait to see these, loving the idea of a spec-ops style tau force. for stealth suits will you be using more shadow suns or just the regular kind :?

Just the regular kind but working on altering the colour scheme to have them extra dark, also using more steath suit parts in my HQ & Body Guard team ( when i get round to buying it!) i.e. stealth burst cannons mounted underneath & twin linked fusion blasters on the other.

Also i finally got pics uploaded, internet was down most of the week so been sitting on my desktop waiting!

Seems the kroot pics corrupted so will have to re take but here are my FW pics:

I don't know why but those sculpts make me want to convert them to the back side and create an all Booty Bitches Tau army. Now that would be unique...

Lookin good. Who really cares about the Breast factor. Its obvious that wasn't the driving force behind this army, as you have well stated.
That aside....We will soon see female Necrons! (Or perhaps we already have.....)
