Now that the Nids are out of the way I'm going to focus on not only getting some Grey Knights done for a friend but also bringing my first 40k love back from the box in the corner: Space Wolves. I kinda lost focus on them since the color change left me out of using the old GW paint scheme I had and then I tried using Army Painter Wolf Gray (I hated it) and then finally rounded out my trial paint jobs with a black scheme and a super gray scheme. I'm still in the process of stripping them down (Logan Grimnar was claimed in a "sit too long in power dissolver accident" so I'm in the market for a metal one) but they are getting there. I finished three figures but Njal in terminator armor is my favorite model for the Space Wolves line. I still have to put snow on the base but I want to find out what the snow is that folks use that looks like metly clumps. I'm very satisfied with this dark paint scheme and it's using all of GW's new line of colors so I can be somewhat confident that they won't disappear on me like last time. Arjac Rockfist is next up and his details will probably drive me bonkers too but that's another thing I like about the Space Wolves, they are Space Marines without looking like Space Marines. I also plan on not having any helmeted Space Wolves in this army so I have a lot of chopping ahead of me (I picked up some old metal SW Termies).

After reading the new Apocalypse rule book I knew I wanted to field the fun named HQ formation in Space Wolves. I didn't have a Bjorn though and I am not much of a fan of the Dreadnaught model, they are too stubby and clumsy looking to me. The Contemptor is cool but I didn't really want to get one of those just yet. I started raiding my bits to see what I could find and it just kept going and going. Started out with some extra Soul Grinder pieces and ended up with an old broken Rhino. I'm really happy with the way he is looking save his head, I kinda want a bigger one. Let me know what you think so far and I'd also be happy to take suggestions.

Really nice variety of things here. I can see that no grass grows under your feet! Going to enjoy sitting back and seeing what you do with the variety of models at your command.

With these guys I'm getting closer to getting my Apocalypse formation painted up. I think I have a few more Wolf Guard to and I'm there.

As part of my formation I needed a Bjorn but I really don't like the dreadnaught model, they are too stubby looking for my tastes. After taking the photos I realize that I have a few details to paint but I am happy with where he is at right now.
