Exergy I actually found your model before I started with mine. Really great stuff. I've finally gotten round to finishing the paintjob - I took no PIP photos as it was really hard to actually translate my vision onto the model.

I finally achieved what I think is a passable paint job, but taking photos with an Android tablet will not do. Please excuse the poor photography and enjoy the photos.

A little red to show the Mars roots I think. The plan for the army as a whole is to be very brassy. Not steampunk in any direct way, just an army of brassy dudes.
Next step is buying a Forgefiend.

Glad to know someone saw what I have been working on. Kind of sad you started, built, painted and finished before me, but I have been out of town for a while.

Love the scheme but I am unsure about the robes and the armor being the same red. For me you have to pick another color for one of them. Adeptus Mechanicus do silver and black armor with long red robes, Dark Mechanicus do more brass and red armor with black robes for me. I also think he could use a little bit of color, perhaps some green cabling in addition to all the metalics.

As for your forgefiend, I cant wait to see it. I am converting one up out of a sister of battle penitant engine.

Niiice! I'm going to get a 'fiend kit and a Defiler, smash them together at speed and see what emerges. You make a point about the use of colour, this is a very barren scheme. I introduced some turquoise patina in very subtle places (originally there was a lot more but i hated it. The robes are actually black, highlighted with red. One thinks perhaps I was a little loo heavy-handed with the highlighting. I will bear this in mind but am hesitant to revisit this particular model due to the stress it has already caused me

I'm going with a martian basing scheme here. I can't think of anything that would be better. I don't have the new 'dex yet but am considering Plague Marines. I hear that I might be better of with regular CSM but I'll wait until I've read the book.

Thanks all!

Good work. I am not pleased with my Finecast Warpsmith and I would recommend everyone attempting what the OP has done.

Once again, nicely done sir.
