Dang, going to have to pause on that trench system for now, but I can seem my will breaking eventually. One of those always wanted a Trench themed board type affairs.
Also pleased to see they did Valkia, hopefully that will bode well for Malys when the next do some Dark Eldar figs. Also glad I'm not playing Fantasy at the moment, an army around her, even a small one would have been hard to resist.
Oh and although I wouldn't say I am a huge fan of Scyla, at least this time he appears to look more how he was described in the book.

The models look great tho. Love their take on the war shrine, very nice and Festus, very cool. Guess there will be one of those add it booklets in the WD for the new units. Happy gaming anyway.
Not really, there's about five books that are in more of a desperate need for an update.

because you have to have this price is not an option

Just what we need... MORE fething IOM scenery. Would it have killed them to do just ONE xeno scenery piece (not counting the dinky little nid thing from the Battle for Macragge set and the resin Ork Barricades ? )
I want Eldar/Dark Eldar, Tau and Ork scenery, dammit!

Actually it's quite a nice kit, but come ON GW. There are folks who don't play IOM that would like some nice buildings

I hear ya and agree whole heartedly. Wood elves especially. But from my gaming group, WoC needs it as far as that. Our group only has Skaven, Vampires, DE, HE finally a beastmen player, daemons, night goblins and WoC. Our other orc players quit playing their orcs when their book came out, not me, night gobbos kick butt. So that is where my basis comes from. Brets need alot of love too.

That big dumb brawler spawn has some potential... and if those juggernauts come on a plastic sprue in a box, GW just won back some $$$ that was going to head to FW next month.

I don't at ALL disagree with you. However, at least in this case, it is much easier for me to imagine whatever army I'm playing took that defensive line from a battalion of sad, sad, guardsmen than most of the other terrain. Unlike the skyshield platform, or the Bastion or the Fortress of Redemption, which seem too static and requiring more forethought and permanance apart from the current battle than mere trenches.
I want to know what level of customization I have for the modelling of it, how many sections it comes in, etc. If this can be cross applied to many games, it will be a very large deciding factor in my purchasing it. Warmachine in particular enjoys some trenches on the field.
As far as that red chaos beastie goes, does anyone else recognize the pose? The latest Incredible Hulk movie: the Hulk and the Abomination were charging each other and leapt into the air, each with that same pose. It's like an exact screen shot from the movie, only with the tint adjusted and moar skullz.

6th edition lands on June 23rd!
Good news. This is the best time in the hobby. Full of promise. GW lets us down each time and we know it but secretly we're hoping that this is the edition that GW gives us a balanced game that can also be played competitively at tournaments. I'm loving it.
The defense line looks cool, but I hope they don't add rules and points for it. I'd hate for it to be something anyone could take just with some points and their fortification slot. That thing is massive, it is going to completely dominate the table it's put on. I think the fortress of redemption is already pushing the bounds of what should be on a normal 40k scale game before going into a apoc/planetstrike type scenario.
What's the problem with trying to cram 2 of these on one table...?
