He is implicating that people will complain that they are too good.

But they're balanced, and fine. Just write your own list and play with it. Make changes as you go based on your performance in game. That's the fun of the game.

If you have money for an army, you have money for changes. Otherwise you actually can't afford that army.

So if you can afford a 1500pt army, purchase a 1000pt one and be prepared to make 500pts of changes. If you can afford a 1000pt army, buy a 750pt army, and save the rest of your money for 250pts of changes/adjustments.

Blowing all your money on a list the internet wrote for you really isn't in the spirit of the game.

This is where it's either trolling or a serious learning disability.

I'm going to give OP the benefit of the doubt:

Points add up. 150pts + 123pts = 273pts. Continue this logic with all values. People tend to have a maximum number on the games they play whereby you are not allowed to surpass the limit. For example 1500pts could be a limit.

If you don't know what the points are then I recommend you buy a codex.

This. Warhammer will cost you upwards of 200 dollars to play (at the bare minimum).

To play it seriously will be sometimes a 400 dollar venture. (again, at the very least. Many wargamers, myself included, are already in the thousands regarding what we've spent on the hobby.)

I run a similar list to what your thinking about running. Thunderwolf Lord, Saga of the Bear, Power Fist (I actually use a frost ax instead for fluff reasons but Power Fist is the same points and better), a pack or two of Fenrisian wolves, Thunderwolf Cav, 3 Packs of Grey Hunters in Drop Pods. The idea is they have to deal with your two Grey hunter packs or the Thunderwolf unit running up the table. Very much a pick your poison type of playstyle. Will it work all the time? No, but I have a better win then loss ratio with it so it seems to do the trick for me just fine. Also make sure you have longfangs, I dont take missiles for the fact that everyone else does and they dont seem to work too well for me but I have had a ton of luck with Lascannon/Plasmacannon Long fang squads raining death down at my foes while everything else runs up the battlefield.

With the points thing I mean do weapons has points and paler powers and how many can you have of each, also where do you get the bulk of ur points, yeah that sounds like the list I want with termis

Go to your local gaming store, buy a codex. This will explain everything. If you're still having trouble, ask for a demo at your local GW.

Get creative and go attend the University of Youtube or wargaming sites like Mini War Gaming or even battle reports posted on Dakka are a wealth of information. You'll pick the jist of it up very fast

If there isnt a GW near you - try finding a FLGS close by since you can sure bet someone will at least be playing 40k and just ask for an explanation

if you want to use terminators start a DA death wing army or a Grey Knights army with terminators and ally in SW. termintors out of the SW dex cost too much to make a good army.

the ally detachment should be
njal in termi armor/RP in termi armor
10 GH 1 totem 2 plasma gun ax
max TWC.

rest is either belial and as many DW squads as you can take or GK terminators and a GM/librarian/cortez as the mainHQ for the GK army.

The point I was trying to make is that you're asking dakka to spoonfeed you a list.

We've all been very patient trying to help you despite your lack of really any specific details as to what you want, but like people have said, you should make your own list, with our advice. Right now, it looks like we are making your list, with your advice, which isn't really what this is about.

(Not to mention, lip like that, and no one will want to help you at all)

Well if you don't have game stores near you, you don't need to worry about your list for a while.

You seem interested in cavalry, so I suggest you buy a codex, and a box of Thunderwolf Cavalry. Put those together, paint them up, read the codex a few times, and start putting some lists together that sound like they would work well.

Post those lists in the Armylists forum, and people will be more than happy to help/critique/guide you from there.

That's a far better approach, I'd say.
