BJORN

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

Dorn won’t help you either. He’s too busy being the Emperor’s groundskeeper, hiding behind the palace walls. The Wolf is too busy cutting off heads as our father’s executioner, while the Lion holds on to his secrets, and has no special fondness for you. Who else will come? Not Ferrus, certainly. Nor Corax either. Even as we speak, I suspect he flees for Deliverance. Sanguinius?’ Curze laughed cruelly. ‘The angel is more cursed than I. The Khan? He does not wish to be found. So who is left? No one, Vulkan. None of them will come. You are simply not that important. You are alone.’ Konrad Curze to Vulkan

I'll list my favorite character separated by each codex/army.

Space Marines: Torias Telion
Blood Angels: Gabriel Seth
Space Wolves: Bjorn the Fell-Handed
Dark Angels: Belial
Black Templars: High Martial Helbrecht
Imperial Guard: More or less between Straken, Yarrick, and Chenkov
Sisters of Battle: Eh. In 3e Witchhunters it would have been Karamazov, but him getting the boot has made this choice nigh-impossible for me. I know relatively little of Sisters fluff.
Grey Knights: Excluding Karamazov, probably Stern I guess.
Orks: Kaptin melon-fething Badrukk.
Eldar: Maugan Ra
Dark Eldar: Drazhar
Necrons: Imhotek the Stormlord and the Deceiver
Tau: Commander "Farsight" O'Shavah (As if it could be anyone else)
Tyranids: Deathleaper
Chaos Daemons: Aetaos'rau'keres
Chaos Marines: Ahriman

Straken. Because of his fluff (I do not own the model). The man has been dragged back home from the battlefield to be fixed up again and again aand he always goes back and is pretty much "one of the guys".

And he has 2+ armor save and 3+invuln. And twin-linked flamers and metlas, and master crafted thunder hammers. And he is a Salamander.

By bolter and honour, by blood and fire, we shall cleanse this galaxy. By Vulkan, and by the Emperor, CHARGE!

Yo Dawgs, I heard you like grimdark, so I put grimdark in yo grimdark in yo grimdark in yo universe that is obviously grimdark.

I already said that Straken was my favorite but why not go for the favorites from all the three of my armies. So...

Marines: Kantor. I like his fluff but especially his rules as he has not been made into a one man army as almost every marine special character but instead a good leader type character and actually has a decent gun.

Dark Eldar: Lady Malys. The fluff makes her sound so awesome.

And just for the record Kantor is the only one of these three that I actually use in my lists.

I shall rule the world someday utilizing my cuteness. And I already have one minion to help me do it!

I really do love his background and such. A truly tragic figure who has become a monster!

Could you tell me his background? It sounds interesting.

It's covered in the Forge World Horus Heresy Betrayal book.

Also, you can hear cvtuttle tell you Typhus' background right here.

Honsou. He is such a bastard but can't help but love the bastard. I liked him from the Ultramarine books and even more from the Iron Warrior Omnibus. He is just all that I think a Iron Warrior should be. If I ever do another Chaos army it is going to be the Iron warriors just so I can have him in it.

Fluff-wise, he's a great character. Cunning tactician, master of guerrilla warfare, and a sucker for hopeless causes. I like how there's a few marines out there that took their vows to defend humanity to include all innocent humans, even those abandoned by the Imperium.

Wing Commander

In game: Huron, as I thoroughly like his background, of becoming the thing he fought to stop, and proving that the smart man isn't always the right man for the Imperium.

After him, the delightfully confused Zahndrek, though Trazyn the Infinite is also interesting. I've actually liked the backstories to the new Necron characters, though Imhotek is somewhat bland.

In the wider universe, likely between Cain and Eisenhorn. However, that's heavily influenced by the writing style of the books they're involved in; very personal, the way Cain views the world is incredibly amusing; everyone and everything is potential cover or something which may kill him. And Eisenhorn, well that man needs no introduction.

The Gaunt's Ghosts characters are, on the whole, quite good, but they're often just a little too heroic for me to really love them. There's a few flawed but noble characters, and some really messed up ones; they're well written, but feel just a little too artificial at times.

Therefore, I conclude, Valve should announce Half Life 2: Episode 3.
