GK need something to deal with the fact that they only have 24" range guns. 24" is decent range, but not amazing.
You can either have longer range units, or faster units
Long Range Options:
Dread
Razorback
Henchmen (Jokaero, Servitor, Psyker)
Vindicare
Fast Options:
Storm Raven
tele-Knights
Interceptors
The dreadnought was so powerful in 5th edition, it was an auto-include x3 for most lists. If it lost half of that bite, it is still a powerful option for certain lists (especially if you are running mech, which i would recommend for purifiers), but it is not an auto-include in every list anymore.

Not if you walk up to mid field and play to your strengths. I have not missed my Psyflemen once in 6th edition.

Excellent list. Have you considered Coteaz?
Inquisitor w/ Terminator armor and Psyker level 1 is 95 points vs 100 for Coteaz.
Coteaz adds a second Divination power, d6 shots and a couple of situationally useful powers for only 5 more points.

How does one most effectively use purifiers in Razorbacks?
I prefer psybolt assualt cannons
What does a MSU Purifier list look like?
I run 3 6 man's with 2 pyscannons 1 hammer and 3 halberd
1 to man strike with a rhino and 2 psy (2 hammers too)
How on earth do I use the Vindicare?
Put him in cover... lol He is amazing at shooting tanks and taking out inv. saves on characters. I do like psyrifle dreads for most tank killing though (obv. not av14)
What do I do about flyers?
GK need stormravens or allies with flyers. Also psy dread twin linked 4 s8 shots are quite good. I also have luck with those psy assualt cannons razor backs I mentioned earlier
What does one do with Crowe?
I use him to run protection for my dreads. He is good at hiding behind them and jumping out to attack things that get close. Also I like to put him in my storm raven alot as it gives him protection and allows him to attack people I need. Reading his rules I am sure your thinking he is terrible. He isn't. 99.9% of the time I choose the stance that gives him rerolls to his saves and I cleansing flame. I do this over and over. Unless they have a power fist (you still have a rerollable 4++) then you should be golden.

I know that you're asking about Purifiers, but as mentioned, one of GK's greatest strengths is the Psycannon. So with Psycannon efficiency in mind, how about some Purgation Squads:
Grand Master - 175
10x Strike Squad (2x Psycannon) - 220
10x Strike Squad (2x Psycannon) - 220
10x Purgation Squad (8x Psycannon) - 360
10x Purgation Squad (8x Psycannon) - 360
40 T4 boots on the ground. And a massive 20 Psycannons!
Use the Grand Master to turn Purgation Squads into Troops, and as a Divination Psyker in one of the Purgation Squads (8 Psycannons yields a massive {Heavy mode} 32 S7 shots with Divination Re-rolls, yes please!)
This comes in at 1335 points. Add flavor to taste.

Can only take 4 psycannons per purgation squad.
