Next painted model, a Deimos pattern Predator tank, armed with Autocannon and sponson mounted Lascannons. The Lascannons are fully magnetised to make swaps with Heavy Bolters possible.

Also some news from the “print on demand” version of Gear Krieg, layout is over 40% done. I will finish it over the weekend, then cover work, spine and off we go to the test print. After approval the book will go live. End of February might be realistic!

Had a look at your tutorial you don't seem to say what colour you're using for the armour. Is it just the paint you use to prime the model? If so what is it?

Just the primer. For two models it was Armypainter white, for the rest Citadel matt white.
Any matt white will do.

The white gets the used look from the mixture of Marabu Matt and Army Painter Dark Dipping ...

I've never dipped but love to use washes, now I might have to dip if this is the result. Waiting for some Deathshroud now, hehe.

Please keep in mind that the minis are NOT dipped, I just use some of the Dipping fluid together with the mattlack and brush it on.
With dipping I loose too much control how the dipping spreads.

As noted before, I was also working on a Contemptor Dread...


The Melta and Fist are fully magnetised and the shoulder part is pinned and movable to make weapon swaps possible.
FW model, transfers and brass etched parts.

Eisenstein Coverboy - The mini below is my attempt to convert a Marine with the look of the Marine from the “Flight of the Eisenstein” novel cover.

Components used: FW Mk II body, Blood Angel plastic head, SM Captain plastic PF and BP arm and legs, standard backpack.

I wanted to shower you with compliments just like everyone else. These models look beyond awesome, and how you accomplished the look based on your tutorial makes it even more impressive. It's a process that is easy enough to do a whole army with, and still make it look good.
