As soon as the HH Prospero Box arrived I just had to paint a SiS. I always like the SiS and their strange background. The great Graham McNeill immortalised them in his novel "A Thousand Sons " - IMO one of the best Horus Heresy books!


The model is really good, not just good, really good. The picture below with my 15 years old SoB models clearly show the way GW (and also my painting) have come. It also shows the famous scale and base size creep...

As far as painting is concerned, I wanted a clean gold look. More or less like described in GWs paint booklet. For the head I wanted a more battle worn look, the Sisters is in service on Prospero so no time to daily shave her head, therefore the darker look. Hope you like it.

Any cool tips on how to make that stubble?

I did the stubble with a layer of brown shade , done!

Can't help but think the SoS armour looks like slightly beefed up DE wyches. Just around the legs mainly.

For the head is one of the strong features!
