On moon miranda.

I find Demolitions to be rather expensive for what it does. With the changes to vehicle to-hit rolls, HP's, and still hitting on rear armor, Kraks are more than sufficient for 98% of vehicles, making meltabombs unnecessary, and the other 2% you don't want to send your vets into anyway, thus the meltabombs, aside from Land Raiders, are largely pointless. So ultimately, you're paying 30pts for a one-use short ranged ordnance blast on squishy infantry.

In theory, it sounds cool, but rarely does it pay off well.

IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT.

The correct pronunciation is Imperial Guard and Stormtroopers, "Astra Militarum" and "Tempestus Scions" are something you'll find at Hogwarts.

When you look at the wargear that makes it up, it's well worth it. Meltabombs are 5pts each, and a demo charge is 20pts (going off the SWS entry) so you are getting 70pts worth of items for 30pts!

but in plaay, you realisticaly will only ever need kraks unless you verse crons, SMs (all flavours) and any other army with an AV14 all-round vehicle, so that leaves you with a 20pts 1 use weapon for 30pts.

You could always use the meltabombs for a near-sure kill, but if your meltaguns should be more than enough to pop a tank.

And if they are in a chimera, you can't assault after getting out, anyway. Might as well stay in the chimera to fire your meltaguns.

In theory, it's great! 70pts of items for 30pts! But you will hardly ever use the meltabombs, especially with them being in a chimera. And a 30pts Democharge is not worth it.

Then why did you quote the codex statement in this thread, given that the errata explicitly states that it replaces the codex statement entirely? Just like with Vendettas outflanking, and just like with FW rules, people have pointed out how your confident statements about "this is how it is" are, at best, ignoring an ambiguous situation, and yet you continue to make the same statements in later threads as if none of it every happened.

There is no such thing as a hobby without politics. "Leave politics at the door" is itself a political statement, an endorsement of the status quo and an attempt to silence dissenting voices.
