The one chapter I know of that do use camo are The Emporers Warbringers.

I like all of these models, the camo and weathering works perfect. The only drawback, is that a shield drone on the one dreadnought?

It's not a problem - it's a trophy!

I've just ordered a couple of those Puppetswar turrets - very reassuring to see them looking so good in the flesh, so to speak,

As others have said, great work on these guys. Your son's a lucky fella.

Thats why Camo on marines dont work lol, looks amazing on your tanks but bloby and cluttered on the infantry, shame as your Clearly skilled with the airgun.

Good work though all looks mighty fine, it's not your fault that Camo marine ( and small miniature Camo in general) dont look quite right... Still the best Camo marines I've seen in ages though

I think you're right about the infantry , at the minute , all of them are a bit lacking as I did 10 scouts , 10 terminators and about 30 marines in a week and TBH I can't paint that fast , my boy wanted them quick so he could go save the universe.

The problem is getting the pattern fine enough to look 'in scale' even on a fantasy miniature. I'm not entirely sure my basic airbrush will go fine enough for marines (Badger 200) tho its ok for now on vehicles , I'm certainly not one of these whizz-kid graphic designers who can drawn with their airbrushes ,

I want to get some better ones done , so Sir , I shall take that as a challenge !

Anybody ever tried camo with an airbrush on GW figures ?

This camo scheme is really cool. The blending works pretty well. I think the pics of the infantry are a tad blurry, however.

Awesome work sir! Please keep posting pics as you complete more models, I'd love to see a photo of the full force painted up!

As for the "camouflage is the color of cowardice" comments, I couldn't help but notice the British redcoats seem to have thought the same thing during the American revolutionary war... The finest trained and best equipped army in the world (at the time) got sent packing buy a bunch of farmers with sense enough to wear drab colors and take advantage of natural cover.... paint your models what ever color you prefer on the tabletop (I love the Blood Angels color scheme), but don't pretend there is any real-world justification for marching off to war dressed like the world's most flamboyant drill team.

The quote that I brought up was just a bit of fun, not meant as any kind of criticism, it's from one of the HH books, or one of the SM books, I can't remember, but I do remember when I read it that I actually LOLed.

Btw, Big H where are more pics!?

Nicely done very weathered and war torn and I say that as someone who is a fan of bright red SMs

As an old boy the first thing Space marines in camo brought to my mind was this classic

One of the drawbacks of the electric message , I can assure you my reply was in jest too ! I do this for fun , not for profit or seriousness !

Again , no problems , I'm here for fun too ! Its interesting to here what people think of a semi realistic paint scheme on blatant non functioning fantasy !

Don't mention the ( Revolutionary ) War !

INstead of camo you might consider using a drab set of colors. Think olive drab or khaki. Shoulder plate edges and insignia that you might paint in bright colors would be done in a darker hue of the same color (olive drab with dark green insignia).

When your painted tanks look like they can happily drive through walls, you know you're doing it right. Loving the look of the scouts too. Your guy with the twin plasma pistols reminds me of Van Zan from the film 'Reign of Fire'.

Very nice cammo on your marines. The weathering on the tanks really sets them off.

I'd enjoy playing against such a well painted and designed army as opposed to the usual run of the mill marines.
