He's exposing broken bits of the game; raising awareness.
His video basically shows you what to look out for.
You should be thankful, honestly.
Haha, I've actually played him against his space wolves. He is anything but a TFG, he knows the game and he knows it really well, he points these things out but I think it's just for his own entertainment.
On Topic: I think my plan of race forward and jump back with some jetbikes is the way to go. Boost forward, grab the relic, race back with the assault move and bring it home to another unit, then its a matter of killing the warlord, first blood and the other secondary that I can't remember.
Then I take back what I say, however, the fact that half the videos he puts up involve some sort of rules lawerying and "cheese" he sounds like one. The allies video being a very good example of this.
So I should be thankful that whenever I play against necrons, they are going to pull a real cheese move on me becasue this guy posted a video on it. I think not.

This is how to lose, and you can only pick it up with a scoring unit. So only Guardian Jet Bikes I think can do this assault move and carry the relic? There are probably a few other ways like Tau suits with a warlord traits. Overall like I said best bet is just a huddle up in cover with a good los to the relic not allowing good cover and blast the crap out of whatever comes close to it. Don't try to seize it till your opponents forces are weakened.

It definalty says no more than 6" and no run moves etc. so no assault move jet bikes either.

Assault moves are perfectly legal. It says you can't move over 6" in any phase, and you can't Run with it. Please read the rules before making declarative statements about them.

Convincing his entire store (as he claims in his videos) to play 'his way' is everything that is TFG. Considering that 'his way' is generally the most unintuitive, anti- RAI to play as possible. RAI = Play the game and have fun. Don't look for loopholes to create an easy win; that's not fun. The fact is he doesn't convince the entire club, he plays by the rules but points out the loop holes and asks if it'd be ok to utilise them in a reasonable scenario. In tournament conditions, which is when I played him, he played by the rules and I don't think I've ever heard him trying to tell people that his way of playing is better or that he can do all these loopholes without your consent. Even in the club, he plays by the rules. You guys take BOW far too seriously. Still can't move more than 6" with the relic. I boost forward, to the relic, then I can move back 6" with my 2D6 assault move, if I get more than 6", I only move 6". Simples. You move up to it, THEN you have it, if you have a few inches by all means use the turbo boost to get 6" further back. BUT if you don't have the turbo boost, you can use the assault move as you haven't moved 6" with the bikes yet.

This. Precision weapons are pretty brutal in The Relic and positioning is extremely important.
jifel wrote:The Relic scares me as it's the easiest to lose in a stupid way. Say I kick your armies butt, and then have 30 gants on the Relic, you just have to use one precision shot to kill the model holding it, and if you're going second you're screwed if the opponent has a Vindicare.
Ugh, this happened to me once. I destroyed a BA army, all they had left was some Devastators. These Devastators shot my unit with the Relic and killed just enough models to kill the bearer. They also destroyed my Linebreaker, so he ended up winning the game since he got First Blood. I was pretty pissed.
