Sorry to drag this kicking and screaming back on topic, turns out it looks like Oscar didn't only shoot her 4 times, but used a cricket bat to make sure his point got across.

Sadly, our police force has a reputation for being incompetent and corrupt. Hell, our last two commissioners have been sacked due to "financial irregularities". Good thing one of them caught a previously unreported illness and can't do any time behind bars...
As for the National Prosecuting Authority, they seem to have run out of money recently. Or something.

He says he thought he was shooting a burglar, who was locked in his bathroom.
Why didn't he just call the police. Or is shooting people OK in south africa.
He hasn't got a leg to stand on. He was either shooting is girlfriend, or persons unknown. Whilst in no danger.
