The miniatures in the photograph in the original post are not mine and neither is the art work, they were ones I pulled from Google Images to show what I am planning. I should be starting pretty soon though.

Cool, thanks for the link, it was a very interesting read.

Also what do you guys think about using these as guns for the corrupted sisters....

I think that normal bolters may look a little too large compared to the size of the Dark Eldar hands and arms. Would the Widow Maker Rifle by Anvil Industry be more suitable?

I love those anvil industries guns but I haven't actually got my hands on any.

The problem with the 'vote with your dollar' response is that it doesn't take into account why we're not buying the product. I want to enjoy 40k enough to buy back in. It was my introduction to traditional games, and there was a time when I enjoyed it very much. I want to buy 40k, but Gamesworkshop is doing their very best to push me away, and simply not buying their product won't tell them that.

Instead of stock SM arms, have you looked at scout arms instead? Might scale a bit better with the slender bodies of the DE and Daemonettes.

I think the Anvil Industries weapons would look more to scale and would help make your force stand out a bit more.

Looking forward to see your progress.

Hey,

The Widow Maker is actually a little larger than a bolter (longer), while the Widow Maker Carbine is about the same size and bulkiness.

Im releasing a new assault rifle in a week or so which is basically a human scale version of my Exo-Lord assault rifles, these may be more suitably scaled for your project as they are a lot less bulky.

Good luck with it!

Thanks for replying. I'll keep an eye out for your new assault rifles.

Just picked me up 30 dark eldar female wych/warrior torsos/legs/heads gonna try this out and see the sizes. It seems finding scout bolter arms is a bit harder than normal marines.

They'll be getting their own codex in the next year or so. I posted the question if they were stoping production but, it was later denied. The work for the codex started shortly after the work was finished on the Grey Knight codex. I like the idea of chaos SB. I hope this project works out.

Awesome! I would appreciate it if you could post some pictures, I'm really interested in how they will turn out.

Thank you very much for the info, I would love to have a Chaos Sisters of Battle army which I could [Unofficially and with opponents permission] ally with my other chaos forces.

I'll be running mine Chaos Marines with the mark of Slaanesh and icon of Slaanesh for the feel no pain (to tie in with my Nurgle army) and +1 initiative (they would probably be more agile than normal marines).

I have found another awesome inspirational picture which I can get ideas from for my Chaos Sisters...

Chaos bikini armour anyone?

Only if they're protected by the unholy power of Slaanesh. I don't like bikini armour personally, it's too impractical.

I have to agree, although bikini armour makes for some good art work.

Maybe she can cast some sort of a force field around her or she may have an aura of the Dark Gods.

There are some great alternative ranges out there that would be excellent sources of conversions for a project like this. Statuesque minis and raging heroes come to mind. The armor might not be right on those rages, though.

I think he means the blood vestals from raging heroes. http://www.ragingheroes.com/collections/complete-collection/products/blood-vestals-sf-troop
http://www.ragingheroes.com/collections/complete-collection/products/blood-vestals-sf-command

And statuesque mostly does their female resistance fighters that would need additional work for beeing used as sisters - corrupt or not. But the heads might be intersting to use.

I have to admit, the Blood Vestals are really appealing, I may have to pick some up. Also those female resistance fighters look good, may be hard to convert into sisters though.

Yeah, I was thinking the armor would be wrong on those, but the scale and bodies the guy does are good... any room for corrupted traitor guard ladies? Also, Raging Heroes has a female "guard" kickstarter coming up supposedly soon...

There hasn't been a SoB rumor since late last year, with the leaked model release list -- the one that may or may not have been debunked.

Don't hold your breath for new minis or rules. It'll be like waiting for a girlfriend -- the sooner you stop looking, the sooner it'll happen.

So today, on my way home, I popped into my local GW and picked up a Wych box and Daemonette box. Here is what I have made so far...

Here are three 'Corrupted Sisters of Battle converted and assembled using Daemonette bits and Dark Eldar Wych bits. One I have all of them assembled I plan on converting robes onto them and making some smaller versions of the Space Marine power-packs for them. What do you guys think?

Looking good. And the daemonette legs on them work better than i though. I might get a whole box of daemonettes now to finish my own slaanesh cultists that way.

Have you considered adding shoulder pad on them?
There are some nice lizardmen bits that aren't to large and space-mariney that could look good. Those links are to a german bit-shop but the pictures are what counts.

I'm thinking about making my own shoulder pads with Emperors Children iconography such as wings etc...

Really like what you're doing, they have a very darkly elegant look. One problem however is the hands for the bolt pistols and chainswords. They just don't fit on the arms. Maybe look at IG hands and weapons for a better fit?
