That's an interesting point actually - I guess the important thing is that the miniatures are in proportion, in terms of them not having one massive legs or feet or something!

I can agree there. They should be in proportion to themselves at least. Not necessarily to others I feel. It's not like in this game too, that figs are so out of proportion that they don't get cover. Bit hard with the Noctifer on the stairs though...
This is how I justify the older sculpts. The older models are more burly people - maybe they spend some time hitting the weights? Maybe they're just naturally bigger? The newer sculpts are just smaller people. Personally, I'm 6'4". I have a friend who is about 5' nothing and built like a little girl. Put both of us in Jannisaire armour, and I'm going to look like the original
AP Rifle or
HMG guy, and my friend would look closer to the
AP Rifle model in the starter.
You're not both considering cosplay are you Loki?
You're right though in the sense that pretty much the whole range looks fine on the tabletop with each other - even the old sculpts and the new. Not just Infinity, but it was something I noticed the other night with a friends Warhammer army which was mixing the old 'massive head' skeletons with the much smaller Mantic ones. When an effort is made to paint stuff up, the difference is a lot less obvious from a player's-eye level.
